Random thought, but I believe it's worth saying. People don't get to declare themselves allies of a marginalized community that they are not a part of, that title is earned.
Some of that stems from my own negative self image, low confidence. But I find a point in it too. Actions speak louder than labels.
That's the main reason I don't have tags like BLM, "Indigenous Ally", "BIPOC Ally" in any bio. Feels disingenuous if I'm still learning so much, no matter how strongly I feel or consider myself "on their side".
It's also why myself and many of my transgender, nonbinary and intersex peers are distrusting of presumed or presented cis folks. Why as someone who grew up in poverty, endured homelessness, I find it so hard to trust people who live comfortable financial lives when they brag about caring and being so charitable, especially if they know no other hardships.
It would be hypocritical for me to jump up and cheer, "I'm an ally!!" to others, so soon? I wonder if I'm overthinking it.

It's the series finale, and I'm like... an entire month late uploading this? From when I originally planned to, at least, but in my defense, the world has been on fire. Anyways! So. Circe was right! Ilana really was going to destroy the world! Making... the Sons of Themyscira the good guys, I think? Which is... certainly one lesson I didn't expect to be taking from this, but ok.
