Had some login issues starting today with my #Cockpit installation on my #Kubuntu desktop. It wouldn't log me in. Made changes to my #PAM configuration, tweaking #Kwallet's PAM #service, and still no bueno.

I was trying to login to 127.0.0.1:9090.

But as soon as I switched to my #Tailscale IP I could login just fine!

Makes no sense.

After a month long consultation a committee of Lords concluded the bureaucratic burden of the recording of interests outweighed any benefit gained in debates.

ANYTHING you say may be held against you and used to silence you. Your intent does not matter.

You don’t need to lie, threaten, or even be rude. All it takes is for a person, a police officer, or an authority to claim your words made them feel “alarmed” or “distressed.”

Truth won’t protect you. You can post something accurate, sourced, and backed by official reports and still be accused of online harassment.
If someone claims you’ve created a “hostile atmosphere,” that can be enough.

And you don’t even need to break the law.
Civil injunctions, Community Protection Notices, and “Respect Orders,” which can ban you from speaking publicly, can be used pre-emptively (in case you say something offensive in the future) to silence people.

No jury. No trial. Just a judge ruling that your speech causes “discomfort.”

This isn’t about protecting people; it’s about reinforcing narratives, and the rules aren’t applied fairly.

This is the front line now. It’s not about kindness. It’s about control

ok i have a plan for the trailing arm now. i am gona increase the strut travel slightly, and also inlude an elastomer bump stop for added safety to prevent bottoming out.

i'll add multiple possible mounting locations for the top of the strut to change the angle as needed to adjust the ride quality by adjusting the travel and leverage of the end of the trailing arm

...if that makes any sense without seeing it
