My big kick recently is a block of tofu for ridiculously cheap (like sub-80yen), cut into quarters, one block a day, covered in sliced chives, a dollop of garlic (I buy these in a tube), and soy sauce. It's good, it's salty, it gives me brain power for the afternoon, highly recommend

Used to have a fave iteration that was silken tofu topped with green onion + ponzu soy sauce + a few bonito flakes, copying off a much fancier restaurant appetizer. There might have been minced ginger too at one point, before lazine... economical ease of prep kicked in.
