@nam
the key point is Finland and Sweden weren't part of NATO until after Russia invaded. Russia had neutral neighbors but with the coup in Ukraine and the fighting in the Donbas and the training and weapons going in, that was changing. they felt they had to respond to a hostile power setting up in their border. I wonder if any peace agreement might include Finland and Sweden leaving NATO too. It really needs to be disbanded or we leave it.

I remember NA being freaked out about walking by people who were vaxed, thinking it might cause reproductive issues. I'm sure no conservative conspiracy people wear masks.
isn't the pro life movement for regulation to deal with a cultural/social issue?
both sides are selective re science.
lots of commies are big on nationalism.
that's a slogan to push back on racist bs.

I think this is nam's way of conceding the argument.
> isn't affirmative action systemic racism?
Yes. Systemic racism was instituted by leftists who claimed to have been fighting against then-nonexistant systemic racism.
> Both sides are selective re science.
This is a cop-out. It could also be the opening of a much longer discussion, though it would take a more serious respondant than "u mad, bro"

@wjmaggos
After the constant juvenile whining you bring to every unrelated thread I'm in, you don't really deserve an explanation as to why your show was removed from the NA stream anymore. But I'll throw you a bone.
For YEARS, I defended running CWR in the playlist against a VERY vocal, and yes, largely conservative audience. NAS was never supposed to be overtly partisan; we wanted a counterpoint to the m5m narrative from interesting and thoughtful voices. These tended to skew righward because with the media bias, most left-leaning shows were just echoing m5m talking points. A few shows like CWR and Briney brought original ideas, so against the vocal will of the more partisan trolls, they stayed in the playlist.
Eventually, though, I was instructed (by someone higher-up than me) to remove CWR. Not because of your politics, but because of your production quality.
If, at any point, you had simply asked me, I would have told you this, and offered pointers how to bring up the quality. But instead you chose to assume ("falsely", to borrow an m5m dogwhistle) that I had some sort of vendetta, and that was the only explanation. I compartmentalize my personal opinions from any professiinal duties. And I don't abuse power for personal grudges. That you think I have so little integrity to do so is the part that really hurt.
You have not once come to me in anything resembling a civil manner askjng if there was anything you could do to re-earn the slot. You have merely sniped and whined and questioned my judgment and impugned my integrity.
And still you cry about the incivility in the world whenever someone gets sick of your bullshit.

we tried to bring in Russia in the 90s but as subservient to us and our economic interests. like we always do. and their people didn't like the economics of that and elected Putin to restore more self determination. less market fundamentalism.
you merged Gorbachev and Yeltsin.
there is no world govt so you get big players being bullies. it's natural. we bully. that won't stop till the UN is strong/structured to do so.
