Gonna try to get my art setup running on my Linux Mint laptop tomorrow. If this works for real, I'm one step closer to ditching Windows for good.

I got Clipstudio running with Bottles, though not without some issues, like the launcher not working correctly. Gotta get my Cintiq and Wacom remote up too.
If this doesn't work, I have no idea what I'm supposed to do.
I've tried programs like Gimp and Krita, and they just don't feel right for me.

I need a new laptop soon (8gb just doesn't cut it anymore), would be nice if I could just install Mint right away...

Probably gonna get a new laptop sooner than I thought (thinking of Thinkpad T14, any experiences?)

Will see if I can get the setup to run anyway, but the thing is I really need a stable Cintiq/CSP setup in a month's time for an event, so I'll probably just get my new laptop and do the event with as little worry as possible.

But once that's over, I hope to go back to Linux and start messing around with VMs to see if that can be a solution for me.

Even if the service is operated in the #EU, and is sold to the public as progress for European "#sovereignty"; and even as you may celebrate its offering of "free protection" from #malware, #phishing and undesirable #advertising: Take a look at the 2022 tender document for the project.

Right from the start, it was clearly stated that the DNS entries will be censored:

»Lawful filtering: Filtering of URLs leading to illegal content based on legal requirements applicable in the EU or in national jurisdictions (e.g. based on court orders), in full compliance with EU rules.« (p. 15)

Now think of European countries that have very peculiar opinions about #LGBTQ+ rights, #copyright, etc.

What do you think will be enabled by a clause like »or in national jurisdictions (e.g. based on court orders)«?

It's not just an upcoming commercialization of the service that should worry you.
