Another game where the British guy calls Japs savages and if you just don't get mad at that he's actually really nice despite that. I like how he says this in the context of what he said during the boss fight so we just accept that he previously fought me while we were burning down his embassy but now we're just kinda friends.

To be fair, the Brits believed at the time every other race were savages, and they were, of course, correct.

shipwrecked there and got niggered over by the japs and portuguese for years while westernizing jap shipbuilding until like a decade later he could write home
his letter basically said that the japs were the first civilized people in asia that he'd seen and that the crown should ally with them to own the continent. unfortunately commercial and political relations didn't allow for that as japan closed to foreigners soon after. but it's a nice thought

New Main Questline: “Audit or Die”
You’ve dodged bullets, hacked Arasaka mainframes, and tangled with cyberpsychos—but now comes the deadliest gig of all: filing your tax returns on time.

  • The Hook: After a high-profile gig goes sideways, V receives a notice: you owe 1,475,000 eddies in back taxes. Interest is compounding at 120% daily (Night City rates, baby).
  • The Twist: Turns out, refusing to pay taxes in Night City doesn’t get you arrested—it gets you flatlined. The NCRS contracts tax enforcement to budget cyber-assassins called Auditors.

New Gameplay Features

  • Holo-1040EZ Forms: Jack into the TaxNet and manually fill out cyber-forms riddled with corpo-coded jargon. One wrong keystroke and your deductions trigger an audit-bot swarm.
  • Skill Tree Expansion: “Financial Literacy”
    • QuickBooks Reload – Reduce penalty damage from missed filings.
    • Offshore Haven – Unlock secret Panamanian servers for laundering eddies.
    • Charitable Donation Exploit – Generate tax write-offs by donating to “nonexistent” charities run by Fixers.


  • Mini-games:
    • Receipts Tetris – Organize your crumpled meal and ammo receipts before they expire.
    • Corporate Shell Shuffle – Hide income by stacking shell companies like Russian dolls.


New Factions

  • The Deductibles: A gang of ex-accountants turned mercs who exploit tax loopholes as both weapon and shield.
  • The Turbo Auditors: Cybered-up revenuer hounds with chrome calculators built into their arms. Rumor says their leader, Form-69X “The Withholder”, can sniff out undeclared income from a mile away.
  • Militech Tax Division: Not officially a faction, but they’ve cornered the market on “premium tax assistance”—aka extorting small-time mercs for kickbacks.

Romance Option

  • Lydia “The Ledger” Kowalski – A jaded, chain-smoking tax preparer who helps you navigate the NCRS’s labyrinth. She can be romanced if you prove your ability to hide income from three megacorps simultaneously.

New Weapons

  • W-2 Widowmaker: A smartgun that automatically recalculates your opponent’s net worth and deducts it from their health pool.
  • The Red Pen: A mono-katana styled like a giant IRS auditor’s pen. Critical hit chance increases against corpo execs.
  • Refund Grenade: Blows up and showers enemies with counterfeit eddies—stunning them as they scramble to scoop up the cash.

Endings

  1. Pay in Full – You liquidate your chrome, your guns, even your apartment, and pay off the debt. V lives…but broke as a preem.
  2. The Loophole – By founding a “religion,” you exempt yourself from Night City taxes entirely. You become a prophet of the Cult of Write-Offs.
  3. Audit Armageddon – You refuse to play by the system. The NCRS deploys its final weapon: The Mega-Auditor, a 12-story robot shaped like a calculator. Boss fight ensues.

社畜摸鱼的通讯工具在线状态软硬解决方案（我的标准：想摸就摸，任何摸的时候还要我操作一下的方案都是不合格的）

软件解决方案：

caffeine app，以我丰富的打工经验在所有客户的电脑上装过，没有任何副作用，保证电脑各种通讯软件（Slack/Teams等等）永远在线。好像也有Windows 版，我没试过，需要用过的人补充。

设置开机自动运行，永久active即可，下班的时候点一下变成inactive就可以，不妨碍任何正常上班时间的任何活动，不需要手动进行其他任何切换。

如果公司电脑不允许安装任何app，那下载后放在任意顺手的文件夹，每天手动打开即可。

（这个app的原理是每59秒模拟按F15键一次，因为大部分键盘上并没有这个键所以是一个无效输入，即使你正在做事也不会影响你）

硬件解决方案：

mouse jiggler，除非公司电脑连外接鼠标都不许用，否则这绝对是最后的安全堡垒。

（随意找了个图，但换其他牌子都OK）（还有一种是物理jiggler，鼠标放在上面的那种，更安全）

I really hope that Microsoft trying to reinvent the calculator by stuffing an unreliable chatbot into Excel, complete with warnings in their own T&Cs that it shouldn't be used for anything important (i.e., it doesn't work properly) is peak "AI" and the moment this crazy tech bubble finally bursts.
