some inconsiderate person has been working on this civic confirmed in the manual, the secondary o2 sensor had no harness connector under the vehicle, just some wire direct to the sensor wrapped in tape. this means there's no way to get an o2 sensor removal tool around it to knock it loose with an impact gun. if you can't unplug it, the wire is going to get shredded.
i cut it instead so now i have to install a proper harness and connector. annoying.
