Well, the way it seems to have worked is:

1. People started studying reactionless thrusters for use in space, and there wasn't that much pushback against them because they do use power, and the amount of force they generate is pathetic so there's no real threat...

2. Mike McCulloch started writing papers on Quantized Inertia and while he did upset a lot of physics, all he was explicitly saying was that QI predicts the rotation of galaxies.

3. Then at some point McCulloch writes an unpublished preprint saying "oh, that thing with the reactionless thruster, that's caused by this and here's the formula" - but you have to actually READ the formula to see that he just claimed the reationless thrusters can be used to generate infinite energy...

But if you reject that formula, then you need to reject QI - and you're not able to predict the rotation of galaxies, or the reactionless thrusters.

So no one part of this was ever a real threat on it's own, but taken together it is absolute heresy.

Well (assuming the formula works as described) they're in a bit of trouble at this point, because everything is now out in the open and anyone can build it. If they kill someone to try to cover it up, that's going to be entirely useless because all of the material is all over the place and it's just about making the connection between A and B which is simple enough to make that I could do it...

A federal judge rejected President Donald Trump’s use of a loophole to keep Alina Habba in place as New Jersey’s top federal prosecutor.

In a 77-page ruling1, U.S. District Judge Matthew Brann said Thursday that Habba “is not lawfully holding the office of United States Attorney” and has been in the position without legal authority since July 1.

As a result, Habba, who had previously worked as Trump’s personal attorney, cannot run the office the president attempted to keep her in charge of after her 120-day interim appointment expired. The Trump administration employed a series of maneuvers to try to retain Habba’s control of the office after district judges ousted her in July.

“Faced with the question of whether Ms. Habba is lawfully performing the functions and duties of the office of the United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey, I conclude that she is not,” Brann wrote.

Brann put his ruling on hold, pending the Trump administration’s possible appeal, but the fallout could be a staggering mess across the executive branch. Brann said Habba’s actions in New Jersey for the past seven weeks “may be declared void” and Habba must be disqualified from participating in any of the office’s cases as its leader. The office handles thousands of criminal and civil cases at any given time.

The ruling by Brann — a Republican and Obama appointee who sits in Pennsylvania’s Middle District — could also have wider implications for other U.S. attorney’s offices in Los Angeles, Nevada, New Mexico and upstate New York, where the administration has effectively sidestepped or overridden both the Senate confirmation and judicial appointment processes for selecting U.S. attorneys.

Attorney General Pam Bondi said the Justice Department would “immediately appeal.”

She said on social media Habba “is doing incredible work in New Jersey — and we will protect her position from activist judicial attacks.”

A spokesperson for Habba did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Brann’s ruling came in response to legal challenges to Habba’s authority by defense attorneys trying to get charges against their clients thrown out by arguing the Trump administration illegally kept her on and without being confirmed by the Senate.

Those challenges came amid days of confusion over who is leading the office because of complex and contested rules over filling vacancies when there isn’t a Senate-confirmed leader.

The judge declined to throw out the charges against the defendants, Julien Giraud and Cesar Pina, but said anyone who prosecutes them “under the supervision or authority of Ms. Habba” would be subject to disqualification.

Brann’s formal order only applies to the defendants in the case before him, but his opinion is written to broadly apply to everything Habba does.

“I think it would be deeply irresponsible for the department to move forward with Alina Habba as the highest Justice Department official signing indictments or other pleadings,” said James Pearce, an attorney who represents the Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey in the case.

Brann said that allowing stacked interim appointments would effectively void the need for confirmation. “Taken to the extreme, the President could use this method to staff the United States Attorney’s office with individuals of his personal choice for an entire term without seeking the Senate’s advice and consent,” he wrote.
His ruling also has findings that could embolden those who want to check Trump’s moves to strengthen the White House’s grip on government.
“Congress is expected to speak clearly when it rebalances the separation of powers, and courts should be chary of Executive branch interpretations of structural enactments that result in greater arrogation of power to the President,” Brann wrote.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, the No. 2 official at the Justice Department, has started putting his name on some of the New Jersey office’s work in recent days, an unusual move that appears designed to head off challenges to the authority of those prosecutions if they were signed by Habba alone.

Brann’s ruling also has implications for other agencies, said Anne Joseph O’Connell, a Stanford Law School professor who studies the appointments process. She said modern agencies run on the delegation of authority in the face of a broken Senate confirmation process and that some of the particulars in Brann’s ruling would affect other administration officials, like the current head of FEMA.

La situación de alarma extrema que afecta a 37 municipios de León, Zamora y Palencia no restringe la caza en un coto privado al poder acceder a una propiedad Castilla y León prohíbe casi toda actividad en los montes de 35 municipios en riesgo extremo de incendios hasta el viernes

Castilla y León se encuentra en una situación de alerta de riesgo de incendios forestales por causas meteorológicas en toda la comunidad y en alarma extrema en 37 municipios de León, Zamora y Palencia desde el 19 y hasta el 22 de agosto de 2025. La situación de alerta prohíbe encender fuego en montes, espacios abiertos, zonas recreativas o de acampada, el uso de barbacoas y material pirotécnico, y suspende todas las autorizaciones previas para estas actividades. También ha quedado restringido el uso de maquinaria que pueda generar fuego, chispas o deflagraciones en el monte, salvo en actuaciones de emergencia o interés general previamente autorizadas.

La alarma extrema es aún más restrictiva y elimina otras actividades: se prohíbe el uso de ahumadores en la apicultura, cualquier maquinaria que pueda generar chispas o fuego. Además, se restringe el tránsito y la estancia de personas y vehículos en los montes -salvo para acceder a la propiedad- realizar actividades profesionales autorizadas, acudir a entornos urbanos, ejecutar trabajos de emergencia o participar en la vigilancia y extinción de incendios. Las excepciones permiten el uso de maquinaria en actuaciones de emergencia.

Entre estas restricciones, la Junta de Castilla y León no ha prohibido la caza de media veda. Desde el 15 de agosto hasta el tercer domingo de septiembre, los cazadores pueden practicar la caza de especies como codorniz, urraca, corneja, conejo o zorro. La alerta que afecta a todo el territorio no imposibilita la práctica de la caza. Además, al no venir reflejada la prohibición en los 37 municipios que se encuentran en alarma extrema, la caza sí sería posible en un coto privado. Transitar por los montes en estas localidades no es posible en el periodo de alarma extrema, sin embargo, el acceso a propiedades privadas sí está permitido, por lo que acceder a un coto privado sería válido. La actividad de los cazadores, en su conjunto, no se ha restringido.

Incendios provocados por la caza


La Junta de Castilla y León ha relacionado a la caza con 128 incendios entre los años 2013 y 2022. Una relación que elDiario.es ha analizado con datos -reportaje publicado en el 2024- y que mostraba un “problema” especialmente acentuado en las provincias de León y Zamora. León (comarcas de la Cabrera y El Bierzo) presentaba una problemática “relevante” de incendios provocados por los cazadores para facilitar la caza. Además, el informe del gobierno autonómico consideró en ese momento que la siniestralidad de Zamora debía ser “analizada”.


Sin embargo, a pesar de estos informes que la Junta tenía a su disposición en el año 2024, y el contexto de ola de incendios que se está viviendo en este 2025, el Ejecutivo autonómico no ha prohibido de forma expresa la caza en todo el territorio que se encuentra en alerta de riesgo de incendios y tampoco en los municipios en alarma extrema donde la actividad podría desarrollarse en una propiedad privada.

La Federación de Caza de Castilla y León ha urgido a un cambio radical en la política de prevención de incendios forestales ante la ola de fuegos. La entidad ha criticado la falta de aplicación de medidas preventivas, como la limpieza de masas forestales, la creación de cortafuegos y la gestión integral de los montes.

La federación hga reclamado planes adaptativos eficaces y una gestión más flexible de los espacios protegidos, señalando que la rigidez en estos lugares impide la intervención preventiva. Además, ha llamado a los cazadores a colaborar activamente en la detección temprana de incendios, reforzando la vigilancia y control frente a posibles incendiarios.
