@schratze I've now used all 3 major modern OSes enough to be convinced that the only way anyone could truly like any of them is via Stockholm Syndrome. They've all got silly quirks and annoyances that have to be overlooked in order to be useful as daily drivers.
It is a little like healthcare. Ask people around the world how they like the healthcare system in their country and they will all complain. But then ask them if they want to trade with the US!
I have to use Windows at work and I use Linux at home. So I get a daily reminder how much better off I am at home.
over my year and a half of quarantine I decided to switch to Linux (first elementary, then manjaro, then arco) on my main computer. As I went deeper and deeper into glamming my desktop, I learned to hate computers more and more.
I’ve ended up with a basic arco install with a tiny polybar config and a background image I like, and now I only sometimes hate my computer (though I still dislike them as a whole!)
Almost no configs are the best configs for me I’ve found :>
Excepting for the fact I have been running Unbutu since version 6, and only had ONE problem (which took fifteen minutes to fix), and other than that, zero downtime or technical issues. As opposed to various (work- or wife-induced) Windows issues that have cost dozens of hours of downtime. So, no.

I don't hate Linux. I really don't like graphic card companies for making buggy drivers and Microsoft for making a buggy system called Win11. I only have it because of School and some games as a dual boot system. The only other thing I don't like are drivers that won't work or companies that don't want to make drivers on Linux.
PS: Thanks to every Open Source dev for making good software that we love (even the big tech companies)
With Linux, you can pick and elaborate on specific things to hate! Some hate systemd, others don't. Some of us hate xorg, others hate wayland. Some hate Canonical, some hate Redhat, and some yet despise everything that isn't mainly community driven. Some hate Richard Stallman and the FSF, others would like to interject...
Linux has one big benefit. It supports annoyance driven development (ADD). Basically when you get annoyed enough, you can actually fix things instead of just continuing to be annoyed. Now that might be annoying on its own, but it at least keeps you busy instead of fuming in a corner!

And if one happen to like hating stuff. There's no better place than Linux. You can dislike distros, their packaging format, or a release cadence, init systems, c libraries, editors, shells, windowing systems, scripting languages, desktop environments and I am sure there's more.
Hate linux for entirely different reasons, and instead of hating it more as time goes on and it gets more insufferable, you hate it less as you learn to work around its quirks and navigate it effectively.
