Most Israel apologia at this point is just people pretending to believe things they don't really believe. Gaza looks like a gravel parking lot because Hamas put explosives in all the buildings. The IDF has a low civilian-to-combatant kill ratio. People aren't really being starved. Gaza's entire healthcare infrastructure was destroyed because Hamas was hiding under all the hospitals. Nobody actually believes these things.
They're just pretending to believe them in order to justify genocidal atrocities and help ensure that they continue. They're really the worst people in the world.

The liberal idea that the differences between human groups is only cosmetic.
This single idea is responsible for trillions of dollars of wasted money and an almost limitless level of cultural and social devastation and moral degradation.
It is understandable that the Democrats are retaliating against Republican efforts to cheat by redistricting. However that is not truly fighting to defend democracy. Defending democracy means ending efforts to block progressives in their party and to keep third party candidates off the ballot, reforming the system to allow for more views, ending the restrictions on civil liberties pushed by both Republicans and by Democrats like Biden.
Focusing on encouraging everyone to adopt anti-democratic tactics and act like Republicans is just one more nail in the coffin, vs actually encouraging more useful democratic tactics (like, oh, I don't know, actually listening to voters and giving them things they need to get them excited to participate) really tells us, again, what their priorities really are.

@tlapil @rat While countries are kept in a destabilized condition where gangs run amok, it's easy for big money interests to pay off whoever they want, getting armed forces to defend their stuff as they plunder natural resources, environmental activists and journalists conveniently disappear, and the refugees fleeing north make a convenient scapegoat for all sorts of things. The USA cultivates these conditions for profit and power.
