For example, the CDC, which the M5M refers to as "The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention." If you add "of your health" to the end of that, it's a lot more accurate.
Also the phrase "safe and effective." Safe for whom and effective at what is the question I always ask. ;)

Most government agencies are little more than bureaucracies that exist for the purpose of perpetuating themselves ad-infinitum.
Not only do we not have (easy) access to the truth anymore, I'd dare say most people just aren't that interested in it. The reason for this is up for debate, but I suspect most people would rather live with the lie than face the uncomfortable truth.
