A fox caught onto my day habits of when I free range
Apparently watched me for months until he made his move, because hes taken 2 before
Took 3 birds at once including my most precious, the silkies
When I free range, Id stay out there with them from sunrise to 12ish
Then check them every 20 mins or so after that until I put them up
But now they are never unsupervised ever again.

I got in trouble with my landlady for shooting at it the first time lol
Someone called the cops. She didnt care but had to tell me I can't do that again

I really loved those little goofs
I miss giving them their belly rubs before bed every night

I really hate foxes now lol

They are usually too far away and it happens so fast
Don't think I haven't tried
I've had several encounters with it but by the time I had to react, they were way up the driveway
Which is about 300 steps away

Considered it, I heard some people have "guard geese"
But i don't really know how that works
They are loud and chase things off but wouldn't a fox just grab that too?
Tell me cause I'll start looking for one 🤔

Oh get over yourself. It’s a cat. Boo hoo. They breed like rabbits and carry diseases and parasites. So what he shot one that wasn’t suited to be a house pet. Do you know how many get euthanized in animal shelters everyday for exactly that reason?
