I picked up a Schrade Old Timer 340T Stockman knife, vintage 1980s. New in Box with Paperwork. Made in USA

1095 High Carbon Steel
3.25" Closed Length
Weight: 1.8 oz
Sawcut Delrin Scales

I wonder if this is the knife that @tiddlywinkler was given for his first knife.

These were made in the US from the mid 50s up until the end of US knife production by Schrade-Imperial in 2004. That's a long run for a very popular classic knife.

It was a good size for my 9 year old hands. It's a bit small today.

I EDC a Zero Tolerance 0450cf Carbon Fiber.

I also have a collection of "cheap" pocket knives like an Opinel, a Mercator K55K, a Douk Douk, and a Higonokami. And then I keep a fixed blade Swamp Rat and an OKC RTAK II nearby.

When I want to get fancy, I also have a Puma hunting knife.

There's a CRKT Razel hanging on my bugout bag.

Bear & Sons, made in Jacksonville, Alabama.

I'm going to stop by their showroom sometime soon and check it out. Last few times I've been through Jacksonville, I haven't had time.

Warther kitchen knives are also still USA-made, in Ohio. I want to pick up a bird's beak paring knife from them at some point.
