In Europe we should keep our eyes on the ball, that is Ukraine, not Gaza or Iran. Our most primary and direct interests (security ,economy) are connected with the fight between Russia and Ukraine. Not saying those other theatres are not relevant but just less important.

From a human point of view, though, both are extremely urgent along with the even-less-reported-upon wars in Africa and Asia.

in reply to Aral Balkan • • •In the name of understanding them better, I forced myself to read "Atlas Shrugged." It's a book about rich, powerful sociopaths, and it celebrates their sociopathy. It did help me understand how their minds work, and I did not lose anything of myself. I did, however, find it very, very depressing. That's because I don't think what makes them the way they are is curable with reason. It can only be dealt with by larger numbers of us.
