The Bluesky team builds their app - the github repo is labeled as social-app - as open source code precisely so it can be re-used. Check the ATProto Community forum for a page listing a lot of the alternates so far discourse.atprotocol.community/t/alternate-...

Now, through @eurosky.social@bsky.brid.gy, and the newly formed @modalfoundation.bsky.social@bsky.brid.gy, they are well on their way to build a great ATProto commons in Europe
