If a human police officer shoots a civilian who did not commit a crime then they might go to jail
If a robot programmed by a team of programmers working for the same police department shoots someone then the police department has an excuse to avoid accountability and call it a programming error and put no one not even the programmers in jail

Someone told me purdue has a robot armed with a gun patrolling the campus as part of a research experiment funded by a third party but I could not find any information online to confirm this is true and this person has had a history of lying to me and practical joking people
If this was true it would be interesting if they ban students from owning guns but allow a robot to own guns
