Yes, there were. There are no prophets anymore. Women can know the Bible very well, but if a woman decides to teach men, or be a "Pastor," she has gone against scripture and history shows time and again that they lead people astray, and often into cults.
I think you're misusing that scripture.... Revelation 11 talks about two prophets that will be killed in the streets in Jerusalem in the future. So I guess there are still prophets.
No. Look into who those prophets are. You promote pre-Earth life experiences in another post, so I highly doubt you have any part in a Christian topic.
@Vee McMillen If you look at my first comment, I did not refer to her as a claimed prophetess. I spoke of women teaching men Bible related things, then warned that especially if they claim to be teaching a prophecy. I am not saying she is doing that, butthat that is also bad. The stories of unknown people who claim to have gone to heaven and saw this or that should be very suspicious.
Vee McMillen you had it right when you said misogynist. I'm feeling sick to my stomach just from going back and reading the things he said. Not worth any more of my time.
Now that is in a church setting. Women could be military generals, as Deborah, who led Barak and the men. But in a New Testament church, they are not allowed to rule over men, or to be teachers of men. If anyone wants to cry about, I wondering why they don't seem to have a problem with the far greater demands put upon men in the Bible.
[2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV] 16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

There are no prophets. I can guarantee you that anyone claiming to prophecy is doctrinally all messed up and leading people astray.
