The Israeli military reports its air defences shot down two rockets launched from the #Gaza Strip, and a third fell in an open area without inflicting any casualties.

The Quds Brigades, the armed wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, claimed the attack, which triggered air raid alarms across southern Israel. The group said it was in response to “Zionist massacres against our Palestinian people”.

The Israeli army earlier said a missile was launched by the Houthis in Yemen, but it fell short before reaching Israel and did not trigger any alarms.

The Yemeni Armed Forces, affiliated with the Ansarallah movement, launched a hypersonic ballistic missile targeting Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport on Wednesday.

“The missile successfully hit its target,” spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced, adding that it was “the third missile attack in less than 24 hours.”

In an earlier attack, targeting the airport, the Zulfiqar ballistic missile was used, the spokesman said.

The latest instalment of the #Palestinian resistance’s miracle-making transpired in Khan Yunis on Tuesday (June 24) when it dealt multiple blows to eliminate all seven Zionists inside an armoured personnel carrier (APC) in another of its trademark complex ambushes. All seven dead Israelis belonged to the 605th Combat Engineering Battalion in what one Israeli outlet called “one of the deadliest incidents for the Israel Defense Forces in months.”

Here’s how the deadly operation unfolded:

During an attack launched by the 605th Combat Engineering Battalion of the 188th Brigade in #KhanYunis, a resistance fighter approached a Puma armoured personnel carrier (APC) containing seven soldiers from the engineering unit and attached a shrapnel-type explosive device to it before withdrawing safely. The device exploded, causing the armoured vehicle to catch on fire.

As part of the ongoing Al-Aqsa Flood Operation, Palestinian resistance fighters persist in attacking Israeli forces operating inside the Gaza Strip, causing Israeli military casualties with both killed and wounded soldiers.

The Al-Quds Brigades also announced today that they had carried out a coordinated operation, beginning with the detonation of a minefield targeting Israeli military vehicles advancing in the Huda Square area east of Gaza City's #Shujaiya neighborhood, forcing soldiers and officers to take shelter in nearby houses.

The fighters then targeted the troops who had taken cover inside the houses, first with a guided missile, followed by an anti-fortification TBG shell. Afterwards, the fighters engaged Israeli soldiers in close-quarters combat using light and medium weapons, leaving casualties of both dead and wounded, according to a statement released by Al-Quds Brigades.

The Israeli military says five of its soldiers have been killed after Palestinian fighters detonated explosive devices during an operation in northern Gaza’s Beit Hanoon area.

The Israeli military said the five soldiers, aged between 20 and 28, “fell during combat in the northern #Gaza Strip”, while 14 others sustained injuries – two of them “severely wounded”.

“What we understand is that the #Israeli soldiers were attacked, then the unit that tried to come to their rescue was also attacked, and then a third group of soldiers that tried to extract them was also attacked,” she said.
