hello netherlands you mean to tell me I don't need to download a separate app for every local transportation system for every city I visit but can simply use my existing credit, debit, or EC card as both payment and ticket?

And ... I'm not in the NL very often or for very long, usually, but whenever I am there, different places and all... their local transport system is actually working.
I love the Netherlands. Not just for this.

From a single app, we booked 3 busses on the way there, and 2 buses + 3 trains on the way back, optimizing travel times and letting us choose between more fine grained options

Works quite well for people that donβt often use public transportation. For frequent travelers itβs not yet attractive because you cannot connect subscriptions. But they seem to be working on that.
