The Standing Together Movement is using the resistence song from Hunger Games („The Hanging Tree”) to ask for support against the deliberate famine in Gaza.

NATO makes a post comparing themselves to Harry Potter, the Na'vi (Avatar), Han Solo, or the Avengers.

Why are organizations aligning themselves with fictitious super heroes rather than real world movements?

Because in the case of NATO, they are really Voldemort, the humans in Avatar, The Empire in Star wars and whoever the evil overlord is in Avengers.

They are trying to appeal to impressionable people who are easily duped.
