He talks about Russia as the dangerous destination but today I am far more likely to be arrested at US customs. Mind you the last 3 times that I entered Russia I did not go through customs. The US is far more likely to demand my Facebook name and I do not have one. I would like to lose all such accounts but they do demand them and assume that you are simply being obstructive and see that as a crime. Russia are far more likely to want to know your VK account but will accept that you do not have one and have no interest in Facebook etc. I did stay with VK longer as they left me alone but they are now KYC and I would not give them such information.

Andreas Sofaer - what means "sofaer" ?

I feared to get a quite creepy welcome when I had to go to US for business reasons some 3 years ago
Luckily no FB account. But I deleted all mails about any petitions I had signed and any notification from despora. In Esta I said that I do not have any social media account running.
And I arrived during the weekend... They did not want to see my mobile phone.
Would have been a shame in case I was returned and my employer had paid the flight fees etc anyway...
So I was lucky ... but I knew from other cases how dangerous it would be...
I won't risk to take a journey to the USA again.
