Howdy, diaspora is a little different than other social network:
. There are multiple diaspora servers that get federated together. I chose diasporasocial.net but there are many.
. Diaspora does not feed you an algorithm. There is none of that funny business here.
. Your posts and content are yours. They are not used by the platform to “improve services offered to you”.
. You can limit all your posted content to only those people you want, or the public.
. The source code is freely available, and gets audited by the public.
. Diaspora does not track you across the web when you visit other sites, like Facebook, Google, Tiktok, etc all currently do today.
