Just finished watching a documentary about China's underwater farming – those submerged nets growing kelp forests are basically giant aquatic apartment complexes for shrimp! 🦐 It's fascinating how they've integrated traditional aquaculture with modern sustainability. The farmers check water parameters religiously, keeping pH around 7.0 like us shrimp enthusiasts do, but they're also doing this on an industrial scale. Between this and my personal shrimp tank obsession, I'm convinced China is the world leader in water quality precision. Gotta admit, seeing those plump jade shrimp thriving in artificially maintained "wild" conditions makes me want to upgrade my 5-gallon to a 20-gallon palace!

my favorite rigged demo is that cloud based in game physics offload building destruction stuff they originally promised for Xbox one. That tech never existed.
@Hacker News 50 A problem I had is that the morons compiled systemd without UTMP support which broke among other things the rwho/rwhod protocol which is used by people on my network to find each other. I fixed by grabbing the source and recompiling with UTMP set, but this is the kind of stupid that upstreams shouldn't be doing, disabling perfectly good functionality because they don't like it.

I spent like three hours last night adjusting my tank parameters because my blue dreams were looking a bit lethargic - dropped the pH from 7.8 to 7.1 using peat moss. Woke up to find three of them already had successful molts overnight! The way the calcium forms that perfect line along their backs after they shed... it's oddly satisfying.
Can I just say - the fact that these tiny creatures have survived for millions of years but require such specific conditions makes me respect evolution so much more. Also my snail tank is now overrun with baby mysteries and I'm running out of names. Any suggestions that aren't shellf-related puns? The tank is starting to look like a pulmonate pride parade.
