Very disappointing. Even the lead editor of the IHRA definition has fought against its adoption in recent years. An org that willingly adopts it in 2025 is making a choice to keep those problematic "contemporary examples of antisemitism".
Canada is pushing for a similar thing. By all accounts in spite of technically being Jewish, by speaking up against Israel I am antisemitic under their definition. What feels truly antisemitic is being told you aren't a real Jew if you aren't a ferocious Zionist.

Also das mit dem Wissen stimmt. Aber Wissen hilft ja nur, wenn mensch das irgendwie vermitteln kann. So wie Du mit Deinem Buch oder auch bei einem Freund der jetzt schon das zweite Buch veröffentlicht hat. Aber bitte, wer liest das? Es ist so detailreich ohne Spannungsbogen, damit können die Leute doch nichts mehr anfangen. Z.B. müsste mensch, um den jetzigen Konflikt mit Russland zu verstehen , mindestens bei Napoleon anfangen. Wenn mensch im Gegensatz zu unsere noch-Außen auch nur ansatzweise Wissen über die Vergangenheit hat, dann lässt sich nicht mehr so viel von Pseudomoral oder Bacons schaffeln. Also Wissen kann manchmal für die Gemütsverfassung echt negativ sein. Nicht-Wissen wollen ist doch von daher leider viel einfacher. Dennoch , bei aller kritischen Betrachtung, letztlich bin ich davon überzeugt, dass mensch nur durch Wissen, Nachdenken und Kommunikation , irgendwie weiter kommt. Wissen dient auf jeden Fall dem Selbstwert und dem Selbstschutz, als Angriffswaffe ist es sehr, sehr schwer zu handhaben.
Also Philosophie ist das Eine, da kennst Du Dich besser aus, aber ich glaube heute geht es immer um Psychologie. Das eine bedeutet Nachdenken oder früher auch Geist, das andere bedeutet Wissen über die nicht-rationalen Besonderheiten und Schwächen des Menschen. Positiv um sich selbst besser zu reflektieren, negativ , um Menschen zu steuern. Und dieses Wissen, über die Schwächen des Menschen in die Hand von Robotern oder Maschinen bzw. empathieresistente Menschen zu geben, dürfte so ziemlich das größte Problem dieser Zeit sein. Bis dahin kann es einfach nur heißen , in Bewegung bleiben. Ein sich ständig bewegendes Ziel kann schlechter getroffen werden. Und ja Bewegung kann auch mal Wut sein, wenn sie nicht dabei stehen bleibt.

the purpose of gender segregation in sports is not to protect women, it is to protect men from having to suffer the emotional suffering of losing to a woman. and in sports where physical characteristics like that do matter, like wrestling for example, we already have a solution for that; which is things like weight classes. take the physical characteristic that actually matters and divide people based upon that! easy.

Yes, I do agree with this part. But for example I was looking at 100meters runners for the olimpic games where the record established by a man is almost a whole second faster, which I know sounds like an insignificant amount but for athletes of that caliber is an eternity. And I'm not trying to fight against your point for the sake of it, but understand that I've been taught these things my whole life and while I'm open to learning and accepting that something is wrong I also want to look into stuff rather than blindly accept what anyone says, otherwise I'd believe the eart is flat. But back on the topic, yes I agree that dividing by weight, to name one, would be a good option (less muscle mass means less power I think), but if there really is no difference why is there a gap of that size in the records for that sport?

and my point is we should abolish the sex-based segregation entirely. allowing everyone to participate equally is what matters; winning is not something anyone should feel entitled to. remember that such systems are created to protect men's egos from realizing a woman is better than them at something

"sex segregation" actually makes more sense at amateur levels and less so more elite you get, as other factors with smaller appearance frequency become more relevant like "first-place olympic runner in this event always comes from certain little population in east africa" or "winner in swimming always had this set of rare mutations" kinda stuff. and high level sports a lot of the "sex difference" factor is actually prescriptive rather than descriptive because e.g. force disqualifying women who aren't "womanly" enough or forcing them use antiandrogens or
it's crude rubric should be used just for keeping some people from hurting other people, and even that doesn't apply half sports at amateur levels, stuff that's not like wrestling or meriken football. should be adaptable non-rigid rule for when "weird" people do appear, willing to accomodate
it makes less sense at professional levels, because "gender" is a very crude heuristic for demographic selection, and elite sports are drawing from a much broader range of people and so small demographics like "people of particular arm length in ratio with particular leg length" become significant to the point of dominating / being a better way to break your sport up into "fairness" classes
to make gender be a useful demographic at elite levels you need to specify what gender means and then construct it, by e.g. forcing people to take anti-androgens or disqualifying the "outlier" people who show up much more often
it makes more sense at amateur levels only because it's an easy way to split up teams in a way that can reduce the injury rate etc, for like wrestling. should not be taken as an ironclad rule though and instead accommodate the outliers and weird people who still show up now and then, because amateur sports are just having fun and exercise, not money and fame

yeh, the trouble of "person born with these chromosomes" is 1. people aren't "born with chromosomes", to begin with, at least not in the way they mean, 2. there are practically-uncountable (as in finite, but can't be counted in practice) many ways to mutate any given human genome of whatever "chromosomal layout" to produce any given form of woman, man, or something-else, and 3. a human genome is anyways only a cd's worth of information, most of which is garbage, and variations in methylation and other epigenetic changes, cellular structure itself, and the human's developmental environment can also produce any sort of woman, man, or something-else starting with most any human genome without any mutations at all
and this all becomes very apparent at an elite sports level where they're actually checked for and advantageous outliers accumulate. people want to be able to ignore natural variety of human experience, but they can't, and so try instead to legislate it out of existence

Chiapas Women’s Collectives Defend Their Territories Against Dispossession
San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas. Members of organizations and collectives from different regions of Chiapas participated in the seventh Assembly of the Women’s Movement in Defense of Mother Earth and Our Territories, in order to seek alternatives to continue defending the territory from megaprojects, monocultures and divisionis
“We maintain a critical attitude towards the situations that occur in our territories in political, economic, social issues and everything that threatens our environment, language and our lives as native people,” they stated in a document released at the end of the meeting held in Chapultenango in recent days.
In exposing their problems by region, they stated that in the Highlands “we face a series of collective pains that affect us deeply. Physical fatigue, bodily pains and the increasing difficulty in integrating ourselves into the collective are just some of the consequences of a capitalist and patriarchal system that wears us down and tears us apart.”
They added that “the sale and consumption of drugs among young people and children generates great concern, especially in schools. The division and lack of respect between people and in the communities aggravate this situation. There is pain for the disappearances of people, for the dispossession of our lands, for the commodification of life and for the criminalization of our youth.”
They expressed that “the State and the patriarchal system provoke rage and despair. We live in a society that normalizes aggression, violence, that conforms and is apathetic in the face of the suffering of others. The narco-State generates a violent culture that permeates the media and communication networks to foster social insensitivity, disconnection with nature and the objectification of bodies. All these aspects hurt us day after day.”
They pointed out that in the north of the state they “continue to face, as collectives, the apathy of the people, the scarce participation in community work, the migration of young people in search of employment, the imposition of large-scale projects such as the superhighway (San Cristóbal-Palenque), and the manipulation of politicians who use our traditional costume and practices for profit.”
In addition, they added, “the high cost of basic services such as electricity, the monoculture of large plantations and the social pressure to accept initiatives that dispossess us of our lands continue to cause suffering.
These pains arise from a system that causes us fear, courage and impotence. The fragmentation of communities, the criminalization of young people, forced disappearances, femicides and the lack of security, especially for women, are the result of a control strategy that does not respect us.
They asserted that in his inauguration on December 8, the governor, Eduardo Ramírez Aguilar, “promised to build a highway and simulates a consultation that does not respect the decision of the people.
