Actually this is statism, not communism. However it proves (once again) that markets are not magical devices that solve all problems.
What I want to focus on today is a different trend, which is how states, led by Ohio and Kentucky, are actually nationalizing a key mechanism to organize pharmaceutical prices. Yes, nationalizing, aka having the state take over a private business and run it. And it’s working fantastically well.

All societies are hellholes at some level, given the incentive structures that underpin all of them
But West despite its unique & grand barbarity, has portrayed itself as the most moral society in the world, lecturing everyone about it & privileged segments (gated communities other privileged segments) from our societies migrating there telling both those inside West & outside, what a great society west is never stops being funny to me.
anything about it
Given rest of the incentives everyone in society gives i.e threat of violence from State & systematic greed that forms the foundation of every society, we live in shitty societies, yet perform the mental gymnastics to convince oneself that its not a shitty society (to avoid cognitive dissonance)
So much of people's life is spent in worrying about how to get STUFF & most are judged based on how much stuff they grabbed for
themselves. Everyone encouraged & rewarded for being a mini-Scrooge McDucks across society, who exist, live, grab little more oneself — whether it affects others adversely or not, thinking whatever one has grabbed for oneself & one's offspring is what matters in life.

As mining operations evolve, so too does the need for more agile, efficient, and sustainable solutions for on-site aggregate processing. The introduction of mobile crushing units has been a game changer for many mining operations around the world. In particular, mobile stone crusher plant technologies have demonstrated strong potential in reducing logistical burdens, lowering operational costs, and improving adaptability in the field. But how effective are these machines in real-world mining scenarios? This article explores the performance of mobile crushers through the lens of field tests and site reports.
Field tests in various mining regions—from hard rock quarries to alluvial stone sites—consistently show that mobile stone crusher plants(planta de trituracion movil) outperform stationary units in terms of flexibility and efficiency. Their ability to relocate and operate directly at the mining site eliminates the need for hauling raw materials long distances to fixed crushers, thereby cutting fuel costs and labor time.
These mobile units are particularly effective in remote mining areas where infrastructure is limited. By reducing the dependency on external transport and batching facilities, operators can streamline workflow and improve productivity even in the most challenging conditions.
One of the most common tasks in mining operations is the production of high-quality gravel for construction and road building. In field tests, mobile crushers equipped with jaw and cone modules consistently perform well as gravel crushers(trituradora de piedra para grava), processing materials such as granite, basalt, and limestone with high efficiency.
Thanks to their adjustable crushing ratios and real-time control systems, these units produce uniform grain sizes that meet strict grading requirements. This precision makes them ideal not only for large-scale road base production but also for concrete-grade aggregates.
In some mining environments—especially in riverbed or coastal areas—the primary material is not rock but river stones or pebbles. Here, the machine’s ability to serve as a pebble crusher becomes crucial. Tests show that mobile impact or cone crushers with fine chamber designs can crush pebbles into usable aggregate sizes without generating excessive fines or dust.
This application is particularly important in mining areas where natural pebbles are abundant and need to be repurposed for infrastructure development or concrete batching. A well-configured mobile plant can handle these tasks without the need for additional secondary crushers.
One of the most praised features of the mobile stone crusher plant is its energy efficiency during field operations. Field studies indicate a reduction of up to 30% in fuel consumption when compared to traditional hauling and fixed crushing models. This is largely due to the elimination of intermediate material handling and the integration of multiple crushing stages within one mobile unit.
Additionally, mobile systems equipped with hybrid or electric drives contribute to lower carbon emissions, a factor increasingly important in environmentally regulated mining zones.
Operators and site managers across various regions report that mobile crusher technologies significantly reduce downtime and simplify maintenance. Because the systems are designed with modular components, replacing wear parts or reconfiguring the setup for different material types can be done more quickly than with stationary systems.
Another critical advantage noted in field tests is automation. Advanced mobile plants come with intelligent control systems and remote monitoring, allowing operators to make real-time adjustments to crusher settings. This ensures consistent output quality and helps detect equipment stress before breakdowns occur.
While mobile crushers offer significant benefits, field testing has also revealed some challenges. For example, in areas with uneven terrain or extremely hard stone types, mobility and wear rates can become issues. Proper ground preparation and regular maintenance are essential to ensure long-term performance.
Furthermore, operators must be trained to manage the more sophisticated control systems often found in modern mobile plants. However, with short learning curves and built-in user interfaces, most teams adapt quickly.
Field tests confirm that mobile stone crusher plant technologies offer highly effective solutions for on-site aggregate production in mining areas. Whether functioning as a gravel crusher or a pebble crusher(trituradora de piedra de río), these machines deliver consistent results in terms of output quality, energy savings, and operational flexibility.
Their performance in real-world mining environments has solidified their role as an essential part of modern quarry and aggregate workflows. As the industry continues to prioritize sustainability and efficiency, mobile crushers are set to become the preferred choice for mining operators around the globe.

Do any #Linux/#KDE users have an idea why an app, on a #KDEPlasma desktop, might start fine on the terminal, and application launcher, but not on #KRunner?
This has been happening for a long time now for me with #virt-manager - tho that wasn't the case in the past for just as long. That being said, IIRC it's happened with the application launcher too, tho that works for me atm, but KRunner almost always fails to launch it - only the app icon appears to be loading on the dock/panel, then it disappears.
When it does happen, journalctl would report this error:
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'libvirt'

#Brit gov made a fucking mess of their minds about who the terrorists are
Brit politics has always been the worst in the world but now it's so bad that it's even affecting #UK citizens themselves.
Here the Brit clown Starmer arrests an 83 year old woman as a terrorist for being at an anti-genocide protest, just a day after Foreign Secretary met with the founder of #AlQaeda in #Syria.
#PressFreedom / Police raids journalist’s house in Brussels without showing warrant
What are the chances that this is connected to #Israel’s ongoing genocide in #Gaza?
[…] The 82-old journalist, who also is a historian who has written books about human rights and the roots of the EU, has been advised to avail himself of an experienced lawyer to find out why his belongings were seized and to protect his legal rights.

“If we defeat the government’s attempts to destroy our organization, victory in our fight against Elbit is near,” a spokesperson for Palestine Action told us this week. “If they do proscribe us, then let a thousand Palestine Actions bloom.”
Writers Against the War on Gaza
July 2, 2025
On Friday, June 20, two members of Palestine Action rode into the UK’s largest military base on e-scooters, carrying a Palestinian flag and fire extinguishers filled with red paint. After spray-painting two military airplanes, effectively (if temporarily) grounding them both, the actionists escaped. This bold direct action forced the media to cover what it had long ignored: the participation of the Royal Air Force in the war on Gaza. On Wednesday, July 2, a humiliated and reactionary British parliament voted to proscribe Palestine Action as a “terrorist” organization, threatening members and supporters with up to 14 years of prison.
The same moribund empire that first authorized the Zionist project in 1917 continues to abet mass death and displacement in Palestine. The UK’s F-35 jet fighter program supplies 15% of the components making up Israel’s warplanes — including ejector seats, rear fuselage, active interceptor systems, targeting lasers, and weapon release cables. Its bases in Cyprus are likely waypoints for the transfer of arms to the genocidal state, and the R.A.F. itself flies planes over Gaza to provide the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) with intelligence.
In the five years since its founding, and particularly over the past 20 months, Palestine Action has put the death-dealers on notice like no other political organization in the U.K. or the U.S. By strategically and systematically targeting Elbit Systems, Israel’s largest arms company, they have already brought about the closure of several Elbit factories; forced dozens of companies and contractors to cut ties with Elbit; and helped bring about a “debanking crisis” for the entire so-called defense industry.
Proscription would endanger the whole of the Palestine solidarity movement, criminalizing word and deed alike. It would punish not only members but supporters of Palestine Action: To publicly praise their brave acts would be to risk a 14-year prison sentence. We call on our British readers to take this risk. The label of “terrorist” has long been wielded by Western powers to brand their sins onto all those who challenge their impunity. In this way, it is an honor.
But the epithet is also a threat. It is through this designation that the West has justified the imprisonment and slaughter of journalists, activists, poets, musicians and cultural workers throughout the history of our movements. We must remind ourselves and the world that terrorism is the true legacy of Western imperialism and colonization, and resistance is the real counter-terrorism.
Palestine Action has offered us a template for resistance in the imperial core, for an insurgency that strikes unflinchingly at the supply chain of death. Proscription may force the organization to formally disband, but it cannot stop the action happening everywhere, every day, in the name of Palestine.
The entire movement must defy the draconian criminalization of resistance, which haunts us with the specter of incarceration. We cannot allow fear to distance us from our conscience or our will. Thousands of political prisoners — many who are Palestinian, others who have been radicalized by Palestine — have already shown us that while the cost of resistance can be high, it can never outweigh the power of a united front. The effectiveness and popularity of anticolonial resistance is why organizations like Samidoun and Palestine Action have been targeted by fascist governments and other counterinsurgent forces attempting to divide the movement with fearmongering and hysterical finger-pointing. As Samidoun wrote in their July 2, 2025 statement of solidarity with Palestine Action, “The British colonial mandate was the first to introduce ‘administrative detention’ — imprisonment without charge or trial — to occupied Palestine, a policy enthusiastically adopted by their Zionist colonial successors.”
Almost two years into this genocide, the Zionist and Western powers have sent clear signals to the world that their final solution is the extermination of the Palestinian people in Gaza and beyond. Day after day, we see images too horrific to comprehend and hear the unforgettable screams of children. But as Israel’s attacks intensify, so does our conviction. Popular support for the Palestinian cause continues to build, both despite and because of escalating fascist repression. Hundreds of people have joined Palestine Action in the past 10 days. “If we defeat the government’s attempts to destroy our organization, victory in our fight against Elbit is near,” the group’s spokesperson, Max Geller, told us this week. “If they do proscribe us, then let a thousand Palestine Actions bloom.”
There have been significant attempts to isolate Palestine Action by liberal forces within the movement. We maintain that — as with resistance in occupied Palestine — there must be a visible, aboveground movement that serves as a popular cradle for underground militancy. WAWOG will always stand with militants in the imperial core. We call on all people of conscience to do the same.
Death, death to the IOF.
Free Palestine.

This proposal from @leaverou looks really interesting 👀
Now that we have `:has()` it should be possible to create `inverted` combinators.
A new parent combinator `B < A` could be syntactic sugar for `A:has(> B)`. Similarly we could add previous sibling and ancestor combinators.
The symmetry could make it easier for students to learn, and it could improve readability.
Child selector: `A > B`
Parent selector: `B < A`
What do you think?
Go check it out:

Combinators that could go "backwards" have been proposed before, but until :has() they were rejected on the basis of feasibility. However, now that we have :has(), they are merely syntactic sugar: ...LeaVerou (GitHub)
