The Zionist Interior Minister, Moshe Arbel, has banned anti-Zionist Rabbi Yisroel [Dovid] Weiss from entering occupied Palestine just hours after a meeting between the rabbi and Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi. During the meeting, Rabbi Weiss conveyed a message of solidarity with the people of Iran in light of recent Israeli military aggression against the country. He also expressed the stance of the Jewish opposition to Zionism and its crimes.

This move by the Israeli government reflects its growing intolerance toward dissenting voices, particularly those who publicly criticize its policies or engage with nations considered adversaries.

In response to the ban imposed upon him, Rabbi Weiss issued a powerful statement:

“Advocating for peace should not be a crime. However, in the Zionist entity, it clearly is—because Zionism thrives on war and conflict. Its very existence goes against the will of God. It depends on occupation, murder, and crimes.”

He continued, “I do not expect permission from the Zionists to enter Palestine. Thieves do not get to decide who enters stolen property. I have never visited the Zionist entity, nor do I plan to visit occupied Palestine as long as it remains under Zionist control.”

He added: “In the past, I visited Gaza for humanitarian reasons, entering through Rafah. I am prepared to visit a liberated Palestine in the future—with permission from its legitimate Palestinian government.”

qt6-base/phonon-qt6 finally does not require full VLC anymore but libvlc / vlc-plugins-* instead. i hoped that at some point phonon-qt6-mpv could be used optionally instead (or none) but its being dropped bc upstream does not use it anymore.

It specifies:

"except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted"

This explicitly excludes the entire class of people they want to apply it to: those who have not been convicted or even accused of any crime, who are nominally being incarcerated pending non-criminal deportation action.

Of course they will try to apply this unconstitutionally. Mis-stating what the constitution says only helps them do that, though.

@verita84 @Rock DJ #Gaming under #Linux is possible, but with some "restrictions", like waiting patiently for fixes in #WINE (I can play many games now). It currently has a memory leak, so games will crash with an OOM error. But for me, that isn't important to why I use Linux for 25 years now. Games aren't important at all. I can now play older games which didn't run on release but run now flawless under plain WINE (no Proton needed anymore for e.g. #Satisfactory under #HeroicGamesLauncher ).

I've been gaming on Linux exclusively for the past three years and I have no doubt it will improve more with time but I am getting disillusioned with all the corporate and political meddling.
I will keep using it on desktop but am retreating to distros that annoy me least about Wayland, or have gay Marxist developers. I even want to ditch systemd but that will be a slower transition that I haven't committed to yet.
Gaming on windows again has been an extreme pleasure for me and my family, I forced them to use Linux and am grateful they humored me but the experience was sub optimal and there's less enthusiasm to keep dog fooding it.
I recommend Windows 11 LTSC IoT version for the cleanest and less buggered experience.
