@ninapaleyThat looks painful. Put some cold water or lotion on it.

Could it be something in the sunscreen such as a fragrance, chemical, or dye? The best sunscreen is natural mineral based sunscreens with no fragrance. Zinc oxide is a good sunscreen, but it's white and chalky.

Certain drugs can make people photosensitive.

If it doesn't get better, and your primary physician can't help you, you might have to see a dermatologist.

@LuvGreenTea2019I have had this since I was a teenager. Dermatologistsโ€™ advice is โ€œstay out of the sun.โ€ I am not willing to do that. I do wish something could protect my skin from this, but neither sunscreens nor sun protective clothing work. I am just showing off here. It is definitely uncomfortable but I would rather endure this than not go outside.

SEATTLE โ€” Police are investigating after multiple gunshots were fired into a home in Ballard early Sunday morning. The Seattle Police Department said the house was โ€œpotentially targeted due to political and ideological signs in the window of the residence.โ€

According to the SPD, officers responded to reports of shots fired at a home around 3 a.m. Sunday. Responding officers found several bullet holes in the window of the home where the signs were hung.

Seattle also has the highest amount of Syphillis cases in the country, and the virus is mutating. I don't know if anyone has seen the videos on YouTube of what damage Syphillis caused back in the King Henry the Eighth lifetime, but it was horrific. If this is mutating, I would hate to see what people with the life of homeless people or mentally ill out on the street are going to develop from this, and wonder if it has spread to Oregon and California. The West Coast is doomed!

one of the subtler benefits Iโ€™ve noticed in reclaiming my own music library is I can put on a new album and there can be a vibe change part way through without leaving me wondering whether itโ€™s still the album or if itโ€™s finished and switched over to algorithmic feed.

turns out constant vigilance for the algorithm is really shit for the enjoyment of art!

Coming soon from subMedia in collaboration with Peter Gelderloos, the third and final installment of Itโ€™s Revolution or Death Part 3: Reclaiming the World, Wherever We Stand.

Parts 1 and 2 examined the failures of state and capitalist solutions to the climate crisis as well as revolutionary movements of people defending the planet. Part 3 seeks to provide helpful insights and experience for newer anarchists who are just getting started organizing around the climate crisis and building methods of transformative survival.

If you havenโ€™t already check out parts 1 and 2 at sub.media/its-revolution-or-deโ€ฆ and sub.media/its-revolution-or-deโ€ฆ

Or, better yet, get ready to find a place and screen all three parts together with your friends and comrades!

As Trump defunds Planned Parenthood, it's a good time to look at histories of abortion struggles that reject the government and major institutions and instead build feminist popular power from below, including the ability to conduct abortions and other reproductive care.

In my 2024 article โ€œ'To Repulse the State from Our Uteri': Anarcha-feminism, Reproductive Freedom, and Dual Powerโ€ I analyze how anarcha-feminists critiqued the state and attempted to build feminist dual power in response to the New Rightโ€™s attacks on reproductive freedom.

From the 1970s to today, anarcha-feminists have sought to build grassroots infrastructure, knowledge, and organizations like self-help groups in which they learn how to conduct abortions and other reproductive care, thus taking back power from the state and medical industry.

Womenโ€™s capacity to care for their own bodies and reproduction materially lessens state power. Establishing grassroots reproductive health care infrastructure is a key component of building autonomy and feminist dual power that challenges the rule of the state and capitalism.

Tampa banner drop tells Turning Point USA (TPUSA) to GTFO

On the 7th of July, a banner drop in Tampa, FL warned TPUSA to get the fuck out of Tampa, which would require them to cancel their upcoming convention

On the 12th of July, Turning Point USA will be meeting in Tampa FL for a series of "Summits." This is Charlie Kirk's dangerous group of Fascists. When they were at the Tampa Convention Center in 2022, they even drew people in Nazi uniform with swastika flags. This was just weeks after Dobbs, and told me we were in for a very rough ride.

how do you reduce the risk of a lithium ion battery fire?
* never tinker with a battery;
* only use certified, manufacturer-approved batteries and chargers;
* keep it in sight while it charges;
* if you notice anything out of the ordinary โ€” strange odours, discolouration, excessive heat, change in shape, leaking or odd noises โ€” stop using it and contact the manufacturer.

They're not illegal immigrants.

They're the living breathing consequences of the united states destabilizing other countries' economies and governments.

They're the human toll of this country exploiting and fucking over its neighboring countries.

They're the humans discarded by the violence of richer, more powerful countries treating the world like its personal toilet, and its personal grab bag for resources, labor, business interests, and military strategic interests.

What you call illegal immigrants are the people who had their homes ripped up and destroyed to feed the maws of countries like the united states who take whatever the fuck they want because they have wealth and and a mountain of guns and bombs backing them up.

They aren't illegal immigrants. They're the victims of fucking bullies who live behind the militarized borders of countries full of callous, selfish assholes like the united states.

They aren't illegal immigrants. They're a living testament to the fact that you're comfortable with your life, skimming off of the lives of people with less power than you, and you don't have the will or desire to face the impact of that reality face to face.

Because you have a nation full of militarized thugs to keep you from facing reality.

To keep the living human consequences that you won't face behind borders drawn on a map, enforced with guns and concentration camps.

You're a coward.

I tested out the GrapheneOS Browser and Brave to see if it is an APP or OS issue causing the battery drain

GrapheneOS only seems to have a battery drain with brave browser. The GrapheneOS browser will honor the RESTRICTED battery mode setting. Brave will continue to run in the background in RESTRICTED mode and reduce your battery life

Brave just runs forever and says FU LOL
