À la suite d’une enquête de l’AP accusant une société mercenaire américaine d’avoir tiré sur des personnes désespérées venues chercher de l’aide à #Gaza, la société a publié de nouvelles images dans le but de limiter les dégâts. Mais la vidéo ne fait que renforcer les accusations portées contre cette opération entachée de scandales.
Le 2 juillet, l'Associated Press a publié un reportage contenant de courtes vidéos qui semblaient montrer des mercenaires américains associés à la Gaza Humanitarian Foundation ( #GHF) ouvrant le feu sur des personnes en quête d'aide à Gaza lors d'un incident survenu en mai dernier dans le sud de Gaza. Les images ont été fournies par un ancien employé d'UG Solutions, une société chargée d'assurer la sécurité des sites de distribution de la GHF.
«Je crois que tu en as touché un», dit un mercenaire à un autre après une rafale de coups de feu.
«Ouais, mec!», s'exclame un autre.
Dans une tentative apparente de limiter les dégâts causés par l'enquête de l'AP, UG Solutions a diffusé à la presse deux vidéos d'une durée totale de plus de sept minutes.
Ces images inédites offrent un aperçu sans précédent des interactions troublantes entre la population affamée de Gaza et des Américains bien armés, clairement mal préparés, engagés pour assurer la sécurité des opérations humanitaires chaotiques de la GHF.
Filmées par l'un de ses propres employés, ces images ont apparemment été diffusées dans le but de montrer que les agents d'UG Solutions n'ont pas tiré à balles réelles sur des foules de Palestiniens non armés. Selon un communiqué d'UG Solutions, ces vidéos «clarifient non seulement ce qui s'est passé, mais fournissent également un contexte essentiel qui contredit le reportage de l'AP et montre que les accusations sont sans fondement».
Cependant, un examen plus approfondi réalisé par The Grayzone démontre que la vidéo est tout sauf disculpatoire.
Dans une vidéo, on peut voir un groupe hétéroclite de #mercenaires tirer ce qu’ils appellent des «coups de semonce» en direction d’une foule de civils palestiniens, qu’ils reconnaissent comme non menaçants, avant d’appeler par radio l’armée israélienne, connue pour sa gâchette facile, en renfort.
Après une série de coups de feu à proximité, on entend un mercenaire d’ #UGSolutions informer l’armée israélienne par radio : «Nous tirons des coups de semonce. Des tirs d’avertissement, ça vient de nous», dit-il. Comme tous les autres dans la vidéo, il parle avec un accent américain.
Quelques secondes avant que les coups de feu ne retentissent, on peut voir un agent d’UG Solutions dans le coin inférieur gauche de l’écran, pointant son fusil en direction d’une foule de personnes venues chercher de l’aide.
Ces preuves cruciales contredisent les déclarations d’un porte-parole d’UG Solutions, qui a déclaré à l’AP qu’il «n’avait pas connaissance d’une vidéo montrant des coups de feu tirés par une personne soupçonnée d’être un mercenaire d’UG Solutions».
Tout en ébranlant la défense de la société mercenaire, la vidéo d’UG Solutions souligne également le chaos qui règne au sein des opérations prétendument humanitaires de GHF.
Une caméra cachée révèle le «travail d’amateurs» des mercenaires
Dans la vidéo, le mercenaire qui filme reconnaît que lui et ses collègues mercenaires sont incapables d’échanger ne serait-ce que quelques phrases en arabe avec la foule affamée.
«Je pense que je vais noter quelques mots en arabe», dit-il, avant de débiter une série d’expressions qui reflètent le manque de formation de son équipe et son incapacité totale à communiquer : «Demain. Retour. Rentrez chez vous. Arrêtez.»
Le mercenaire reconnaît tacitement qu’en l’absence d’aide à la traduction, lui et son équipe ont été contraints de compter sur les Gazaouis anglophones qui sollicitaient de l’aide. «Il y avait deux ou trois [Palestiniens] qui, comme vous l’avez dit, parlaient assez bien anglais et qui nous ont beaucoup aidés.»
«Je pense que la plupart d’entre eux n’ont pas de mauvaises intentions, car ils sont désespérés», poursuit l’Américain, soulignant l’absence de véritables menaces pour la sécurité.
Un mercenaire à proximité renchérit : «Ils sont désespérés comme pas possible.»
Plus tard, le caméraman se plaint que des réfugiés ont arraché un lampadaire et un arbre à proximité, sans doute pour se faire du bois de chauffage, avant de se plaindre que la foule désespérée a également emporté les tables de distribution du GHF.
Cette vidéo troublante semble corroborer la description faite par un haut responsable d’UG Solutions, qui qualifie les opérations de l’entreprise à Gaza d’«amateurisme».

UG Solutions partage ses opérations armées dans la bande de Gaza assiégée avec une autre société militaire privée américaine, Safe Reach Solutions, fondée par l’ancien agent de la CIA Philip Reilly.
Les deux opèrent sous l’égide de la Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, proche de Trump, qui a reçu un investissement initial de McNally Capital, une société de capital-investissement fondée par Ward McNally, héritier d’une fortune colossale. The Grayzone a rapporté que la GHF semble également avoir reçu un financement substantiel du Mossad et du ministère de la Défense israéliens.
Le département d’État américain a depuis promis 30 millions de dollars pour maintenir à flot les opérations de la GHF, entachées de scandales.
Au 6 juillet 2025, plus de 700 personnes avaient été tuées par les seules factions armées opérant dans les «zones humanitaires» : la GHF, #Israël et le clan du chef de gang bédouin Yasser Abu Shabab, anciennement aligné sur l’État islamique, qui a récemment été nommé adjoint des forces de l’ordre locales israéliennes.
Plusieurs soldats israéliens ont déclaré à #Haaretz avoir reçu l’ordre de tirer sur les personnes venues chercher de l’aide dans les centres de distribution du #GHF, causant un nombre élevé de morts et de blessés. «Là où j’étais stationné, entre une et cinq personnes étaient tuées chaque jour», a déclaré un soldat au journal israélien. «Ils sont traités comme une force hostile : aucune mesure de contrôle des foules, pas de gaz lacrymogène, juste des tirs à balles réelles avec tout ce qui est imaginable : des mitrailleuses lourdes, des lance-grenades, des mortiers.»

"Sometimes people only need the slightest of uplifts. In a way, it's very similar to a paddling concept using traditional Greenland paddles. There's a guy in BC, Paulo Ouelet, who teaches traditional paddling. He talks about how the buoyancy of a Greenland paddle can give you the support you need. The way he demonstrates how *little* you need to be stable is this:

Now... have a friend hold out the index finger of *one* hand, and put your index finger on theirs. Suddenly, you can stand almost perfectly still on the toes of one foot.

@Carter Braxton there are different possible approaches. You may have a "use-based property" : the land's owner is whoever uses it. If you live in a house, its yours. If you till a field, it's yours. That's not unlike what the pioneers did... Of course the moment you leave a property unused, it's up for grabs, to whoever needs it.
There's also Geolibertarianism which is interesting. I had a good paper about this somewhere but I can't find it at the moment, and the geolibs website disappeared eons ago. Generally speaking I quite like Georgism overall.
State ownership is fine for unused land such as natural parks. Obviously it doesn't work well for productive uses.

There are numerous federated services available, we offer Macrobloging platform Friendica, Hubzilla; Microbloging services Mastodon, Misskey, a federated search engine, Yacy, and a federated cloud service, Nextcloud.
Macrobloging services are message systems that allow long form posts similar in format to Facebook. These allow for works of fiction, poetry, technical papers, news items, short stories, and more. These formats are most useful for discussion of social issues.
Microbloging services allow only short form posts similar in format to Twitter. While you can link to larger articles elsewhere, you have a relatively short character limit and so can not post them directly.
Censorship, is handled much different on the fediverse than on mainstream media like Twitter or Facebook. On the fediverse, each individual instance is responsible for content available on that instance, but does not censor the rest of the network. Thus if you find the rules of one instance too constraining you can move to another.
Federated search engines are analogous to federated message systems in that each instance chooses what portion of the internet it wants to crawl. When you enter a search term, the local instance queries all of the federated instances, collates and sorts the results and presents them to you. As with messages, each instance can have it’s own censorship policies but no one instance can censor the enti
re network.
Given the wild-west nature of the fediverse, it is probably not suitable for children under 14, and you’re guaranteed to find some material that will offend virtually everyone. With federated search engines, material that is inappropriate will usually be flagged sensitive or nsfw (not safe for work) so as long as you don’t expand material marked as such, you can avoid this sort of material. Hubzilla is similar in message format to Friendica in that it allows long posts. However, it specializes in it’s ability to provide connectivity to multiple protocols and so we include it in our mix of federated services primarily for the better connectivity it offers. Hubzilla provides a great deal of interoperability between many networks though ActivityPub is still it’s prim
ary protocol. Hubzilla gives you a greater degree of control over privacy than some of the other networks. You can create private channels that are served between hubzilla instances and other compatible instances.

Mastodon is first and foremost an alternative to Twitter. While Twitter has Tweets, Mastodon has Toots. The format is very similar. Mastodon toots have a limit of 500 characters. Account Types
We offer four different levels of shell accounts: Economy, Standard, Power, and Enterprise. Background tasks such as IRC bots, Game Servers, and the like are permitted on all account types except student. IRC servers are not permitted because of their tendency to draw denial of service attacks. Standard, Power, Enterprise, and Super-Max shells include a MySQL database allowing you to run a variety of LAMP stack based applications on your website and to use non-web based applications that require a database.

Web hosting under our domain is provided with all shell accounts. You can host your own domains with virtual domains or web hosting packages.
Remote Desktop
Remote desktop capability is like having a monitor, keyboard, mouse, and speakers plugged right into our servers. Because our servers can be accessed anywhere in the world, this allows you to have a work environment you can access from anywhere in the world without risking losing your files to a laptop, tablet, or phone thief. We offer remote desktop capabilities on all of our shell servers except for the SunOS server. We support x2go, nx, vnc, and rdp protocols. X2go is the best choice as it provides extremely efficient compression and X round trip removal as well as sound.
Applications
Applications include Office Suites such as Libre Office and Caligra (which can read and write Microsoft Office file formats), Web and Program Development tools such as Bluefish Editor as well as many other editors, compilers, interpreters, scripting languages, debuggers, profilers, and online documentation.
E-mail
Our e-mail system offers unprecedented flexibility. You can access your mail via shell mail readers including graphical mailers like Thunderbird, or via Web mail, or via pop-3 and imap mail protocols, complete with TLS encryption. Our mail system includes Bayesian filtering with Spam Assassin which can be individually configured for your needs. Procmail allows you to sort and process mail automatically. Smartlist allows you to maintain mailing lists.
Security[color]
Access to all of our servers is available via strong encryption. The shell servers all support ssh access. All of the remote desktop protocols tunnel via ssh. We maintain all of our servers up to date keep with the latest patches. Backups are made weekly.

We have a variety of Linux Servers with a variety of Linux Distributions and Desktop Environments. Linux servers in use here are of three basic lines, those derived from RedHat, such as Fedora, Centos, and Scientific Linux, and those derived from Debian such as Debian, Ubuntu, and Mint. Ubuntu is the most current and feature rich. Then there is Manjaro, derived from Arch Linux. Arch is more often broken because it is a real “do it yourself” Linux, an excellent learning platform, a good development platform, not a good production platform.
All of these servers are available if you have a shell account here. You can use them to learn various versions, decide which to install, and as one place you can develop applications for all versions. We install a wide variety of development tools on all of our publicly available servers.
Our servers listen to port 443 in addition to the standard ssh port of 22 to provide a means to connect from behind a firewall that blocks non-web access. You can also utilize Guacamole on our website (login public, password public).

This server is running Alma 8. Alma Linux replaces Scientific Linux after it’s discontinuation. Presently we are running Alma 8 because Alma 9 does not support NIS out of the box although there are ways of hacking it in. It is unfortunate that Redhat chose to piss on the infrastructure so many organizations depend upon. This is why we tend to favor Debian derived flavors. None the less as Redhat derived software goes Alma is pretty solid.

Anduinos is a Debian derived distribution that defaults to a Gnome Desktop themed to look like Windows 10. At present though this Desktop is not working over network connections, instead Mate and Gnome are presently available. I am working on some others.

Fedora Rawhide can be accessed graphically using x2go and the Mate desktop. It has the most applications of any of the Redhat derived servers. I install just about everything I can get to work on this machine so it has a huge variety of applications installed.

Kali is a special purpose shell server designed for penetration testing. It is primarily here to test our own internal security, and as a result, egress is extremely limited, however upon request, proof of IP space ownership, and permission of the owner and agreement to hold us harmless because it is possible some of these tests may be destructive, we will allow outbound for testing of other sites.
Manjaro.Eskimo.Com
Manjaro is a good choice for a Linux user who wants to just install and go. There is a pleasant user interface and a good choice of software in the Manjaro repositories. It is a less technical Linux than Ubuntu, you can do most things through graphical interfaces and the default xfce interface is extremely light in terms of memory footprint. Like most modern distros, a variety of Windows systems are available and we have Gnome, Mate, KDE, Xfce, LXDE, and LXQT installed.

Mint is another recent addition to our shell servers. It is running Mint, although we have the Mate Desktop installed for graphical access. This is necessary because Unity and other compositing Desktops are incompatible with x2go and really work very roughly with VNC. If you like games, this is a good server to use and there are many installed. Mint is a derivative of Ubuntu which in turn is derived from Debian and this server thus follows the structure and layout of Debian and Ubuntu.
MxLinux.Eskimo.Com
MxLinux is an excellent choice for a computer with limited resources. Before the overhead of a Desktop is considered, MxLinux uses 200MB less RAM out of the box than does Ubuntu. If you’re not a fan of Poettering and Systemd, you’ll like this OS as it still uses a System-V init with Systemd shims to allow packages requiring systemd to function. You can also run systemd and in fact I am doing so because it boots faster. The default Desktop is LXDE which is also small and efficient. But if you like eye candy you can install any Desktop you like and as with other servers I will install all that I can get to work on this OS.
PopOS.Eskimo.Com
popOS is a modern appearing OS based upon Ubuntu, and not just indirectly, it actually utilizes Ubuntu’s repositories in addition to it’s own. The Desktops presently available on it are Gnome and Mate, though Gnome is a special edition known as Sparkle, and it does not operate properly with X2go. Presently X2go and ssh are the only two access methods. I am working on the others.

Rocky8 is a RedHat derived operating system very similar to Centos before Centos was absorbed, and ruined, by Redhat. While Centos support, with the exception of Centos9 is going away on June 30th, 2024, and CentOS9 is not usable because of the deletion of NIS by RedRat which is necessary to our organization, Rocky8 will be supported for security updates through May of 2029, thus provides us a means of continuing to offer a Redhat based environment for another five years.

Ubuntu can be accessed graphically using x2go and the Mate Desktop. The native Unity desktop is a compositing desktop which is incompatible with x2go. This machine is equipped with many applications including a huge number of games, a rich assortment of development tools and computer programming languages, a huge assortment of Office productivity software, many scientific, electronic, and educational tools. This server also has open post quantum encryption compiled into openssl 3.6 available for your use.

Zorin is a Ubuntu derived operating system. It combines the eye candy of some other Ubuntu flavors such as Mint, with the security awareness and up to date nature of Ubuntu providing a really superb server environment. This machine is our best equipped server. It has the full Ubuntu Studio Suite, a very large assortment of development tools, language packs for all supported languages, many games, both Libre and Caligra Office Suites, and much more. X2go is supported on this machine.
Crontab access, batch, and background jobs are allowed on all of our servers. Most have unrestricted outbound access with the exception of kali owing to high abuse potential for tools that exist on it.'
We also offer web hosting, e-mail, and virtual private servers.

The transformation of waste plastic into naphtha is a process defined by intricate molecular reconfiguration. At the heart of this conversion lies pyrolysis—a thermochemical reaction facilitated in an oxygen-deprived environment. Within a pyrolysis plant, polymers originally designed for durability and resistance undergo a fundamental decomposition, reverting to simpler hydrocarbon forms suitable for reintegration into the petrochemical value chain.
Most post-consumer plastic waste comprises thermoplastics such as polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), and polystyrene (PS). These polymers are characterized by long, saturated hydrocarbon chains with high molecular weights and strong covalent bonds. When subjected to plastic pyrolysis machine, typically between 400°C and 600°C, these macromolecules fragment into smaller hydrocarbon compounds via random scission, β-scission, and depolymerization reactions.
The absence of oxygen prevents combustion and facilitates controlled bond cleavage. The result is the formation of volatile hydrocarbons, which exit the reactor in vapor phase. The extent of chain breakdown depends heavily on residence time, temperature profile, and feedstock consistency.
As thermal cracking progresses, intermediate compounds such as alkanes, alkenes, and aromatic rings are generated. The molecular weight distribution spans a broad spectrum—from C5-C12 fractions to heavier waxes and gas-phase C1-C4 alkanes.
Polystyrene, for instance, primarily decomposes into styrene monomers and aromatic derivatives due to its phenyl-rich structure. Polyethylene and polypropylene, on the other hand, yield a wider variety of linear and branched hydrocarbons, owing to their aliphatic backbone. These intermediates are the precursors to the final liquid products, which can include fuel oil, wax, and most notably, naphtha.
Once vaporized, the hydrocarbon stream must be condensed and fractionally distilled. This step occurs downstream of the pyrolysis reactor in the condensation and separation units of the plastic into fuel machine. By controlling cooling rates and column configurations, operators can isolate naphtha-range compounds—typically C5 to C11 hydrocarbons with boiling points between 30°C and 200°C.
The recovered naphtha exhibits similar properties to fossil-derived light naphtha and can be further refined or directly used as a petrochemical feedstock, particularly in steam crackers to produce ethylene and propylene.
Plastic-derived naphtha is predominantly paraffinic but may contain varying levels of olefins, isoparaffins, and aromatics, depending on process parameters and input resin type. Its hydrogen-to-carbon (H/C) ratio, viscosity, and sulfur content are critical for downstream integration.
To meet the stringent quality demands of refineries or petrochemical plants, further hydrotreatment may be required. This step removes unsaturates and stabilizes the naphtha, reducing gum formation and enhancing storage characteristics.
Advanced pyrolysis plants integrate catalytic reactors to enhance product specificity and quality. Zeolite-based catalysts, for example, promote selective cracking, favoring the formation of naphtha-range molecules while minimizing heavy tar formation.
Catalytic systems not only lower the required activation energy but also improve the control over isomerization and aromatization reactions. This results in a more consistent naphtha yield with a tighter carbon number distribution and fewer contaminants.
By reverting complex polymer chains to their hydrocarbon origins, pyrolysis enables true molecular circularity. Plastic, once destined for landfill or incineration, is molecularly deconstructed and reincarnated as a feedstock for new polymers, synthetic fuels, or solvents.
This closed-loop process not only diverts waste from the environment but also reduces dependence on virgin fossil inputs. The deployment of a pyrolysis plant thus bridges the gap between environmental responsibility and petrochemical demand, turning plastic waste into a resource with strategic industrial value.

What’s really disgusting here is the fact that Israeli media now refers to the proposed Rafah concentration camp as a “city of refuge”, a facility being built to shelter and provide food to Palestinians whom they intend to isolate from Hamas. Interestingly, the same people who up until recently claimed that “there are no uninvolved” in Gaza... Gaza has been a concentration camp with severely limited food supply for the past two decades, since Israel withdrew and imposed a relentless blockade. The blockade has created a cycle of poverty and dependence on the underground tunnel economy, which Israel then used against the Palestinians after October.

Socially-acceptable forms of social change entail:
1) Refusing to question structures of power, leaving them exactly as they are
2) Asking those with power within those structures to behave a certain way.
3) When that fails, then adhering to the (rigged) rules of the game, to try to acquire official power oneself, which is costly, time-consuming, and likely to fail.
That's it. And given the fascism of the 2020s, those forms of social change will fail.
So there are two ways forward:
Colonialism 3.0, where we try to patch the whole thing together yet again.
Or we could actually build a new system which emerges from the wreckage of the old, which pulls people and resources in, electively, as nation states fail further.
This, however, would require imagination and a historical and anthropological lens on how humans could organize themselves, and how they have organized themselves.

Weil das Löschen aus der Datenbank sehr wahrscheinlich noch nicht abgeschlossen ist. Wenn viel Content gelöscht werden muss, dauert das je nach Anzahl von Accounts gerne mal mehrere Wochen. Erst wenn alles gelöscht ist, wird ganz zum Schluss der Nutzer selbst gelöscht.
Es kann aber auch sein, dass es ein Problem beim Löschen gibt. Stichwort: foreign key constraints - dann siehst du aber entsprechende "DB error" Meldungen im Log.

Habe zuletzt ca. 1200 Accounts in einem Rutsch gelöscht. Das hat 2 Monate gedauert. 😀 Während der Zeit sieht man auch ständigt DELETE FROM ... Queries, die teilweise sehr lange laufen.

Musst du was manuell in 'post-engagement' löschen. Ist nicht ganz trivial rauszufinden, was genau.
Grundsätzlich betrifft es die id 5468731 in der Tabelle contact. Dieser Datensatz kann nicht gelöscht werden, weil er noch eine Referenz in post-engagement hat.
Ohne jetzt nachgesehen zu haben, hat wahrscheinlich der 'contact' mit id 5468731 auch eine owner-id. Die musst du per SELECT ... FROM contact WHERE ... rausfinden. Diese owner-id müsste sich auch in der Tabelle 'post-engagement' wiederfinden lassen.
Dann musst du erst in post-engagement die Datensätze löschen, die diese owner-id haben. Dann löst sich der Rest von selbst.
Das Ganze ohne Garantie. Bitte doppelt prüfen, ob du auch den richtigen Zusammenhang zwischen beiden Tabellen erwischst, sonst löscht du was falsches. 😀
