Although I didn't mention it in my review, I can confirm that PS1 emulation does work. I've also added movies and TV shows to my SD card and the thing plays them quite well, including movies in 1080p.
It's really quite surprising that a Chinese emulation handheld is actually superior to the major consoles that Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft offer. I mean these handhelds could hook up to TVs long before Nintendo had the idea.
Okay. Playing Nintendo DS games on this thing somehow freezes the system to the point that you have to reflash your OS. Though, you probably wouldn't want to play DS games on this device anyway because there is no touchscreen or anything that can practically be used in place of one.
Though Mario Kart DS worked fine. Super Mario 64 DS was the one that hanged. The game requires you to touch the touch screen to start, so I had to quit, but exiting froze the thing. Hard resetting corrupted the OS.
This may not be a problem on other operating systems like JelOS.
@ItsSkyDragonz This particular device is from 2022, but devices like these have been around long before the Nintendo Switch and have even supported HDMI out for TV play. The Nintendo Switch in particular is just a Nvidia Shield Tablet with a custom BSD OS instead of Android.
It seems like the Retroid Pocket 2S has a lot of nice colors (especially the translucent ones), but the dealbreaker for me is that it runs on Android. I ended up ordering a Powkiddy RGB30 for its similar specs and the unique 720 x 720 square display (plus it's about $85 total). The one huge drawback for me so far is the fact that there's just three plain colors available: black, white, and navy (I chose the navy one). At least it runs on GNU+Linux (JELOS). @berkberkman That device seems a lot more portable than the Arbernic RG503. It seems like something that can actually fit in your pocket unlike the Arbernic, which is the size of a mini-tablet. It also seems to have the exact same button layout and ports as the Arbernic which is good.
I haven't tried JelOS even though it's compatible with my device. The real question is if it can emulate N64 at least decently. The problem with N64 emulation is a software one rather than a hardware one (it can emulate Dreamcast games at full speed so it's more than capable of emulating N64), but from what I can tell, none of the emulators or operating systems compatible with my device seem to emulate N64 at an acceptable level, including JelOS (I've read forum posts saying that they still have problems). But if yours can run N64 games then it proves that it might be a mix between hardware and software issues.

Oh please do. Even though I don't plan on getting a new device anytime soon, I think we should let people know which device to actually get as buying these things is a major gamble just from the compatibility issues alone.
Be sure to try out as many platforms as you can. If there are multiple emulators per platform, be sure to check out each. Also try out any engine ports as well. Some of them require you to configure the controls as these engines were made for PC. Be sure to include that along with the set-up process.

The whistleblower is active-duty Navy Medical Service Corps officer Lt. Ted Macie. He has also revealed new data showing a substantial rise in accidents, assaults, self-harm, and suicide attempts in the military in 2021, compared to the average from 2016 to 2021.
This includes a 147 percent increase in intentional self-harm incidents among service members and an 828 percent increase in injuries from assaults.
Lt. Macie told The Epoch Times that he began “keeping an eye on" a defense medical database when another whistleblower alerted him to a rise in health-related incidents in the winter of 2021/2022.
The Defense Medical Epidemiology Database (DMED) is a depository of all diagnoses—recorded using International Classification of Diseases (ICD) codes—when an active service member is seen on or off base by a military or civilian provider. The database doesn't include any personally identifiable information of service members.
In January, Lt. Macie and his wife traveled to Washington with a report of the data that he collected from DMED.
It showed that diagnoses of myocarditis, a form of heart inflammation, increased by 130.5 percent in 2021 when compared to the average in the years from 2016 to 2020. Myocarditis is a serious condition that can lead to death.
All four of the COVID-19 vaccines authorized in the United States can cause myocarditis, according to U.S. officials. COVID-19 can also cause myocarditis, though some experts say that the data on that front is weaker.
U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin mandated the vaccines in 2021, a requirement that remained in place until Congress forced its withdrawal in late 2022.
The data also showed spikes in diagnoses of pulmonary embolism (41.2 percent), blood clots in the lungs, ovarian dysfunction (38.2 percent), and "complications and ill-defined descriptions of heart disease" (37.7 percent).
