Zelda Indigo is a mod for Ocarina of Time that is currently in development and has a pretty substantial demo available for it.
I've been watching ZFG play through it in some highlight videos and it seems pretty awesome. It's basically a sequel to Majora's Mask following the Hero of Time. It would be cool to one day play through Ocarina of Time, The Missing Link (another mod), Majora's Mask, and then Indigo to get the full "Hero of Time" experience.
The only downside I can see with the mod at the moment is that it's not exactly lore-accurate. It's sort of lore-friendly, but the creator's writing makes a lot of jokes relating to the Ocarina of Time modding community that kind of kills the vibe a little bit.

Someone's going to have to explain to me in very small words how using your computer to access a second, virtualised computer that lives in a datacentre somewhere helps reduce your fucking carbon emissions here, because to me that looks like you're running at least one and a half computers (if I'm being generous) or (if I'm not) everyone's personal computer that's pretending to be a thin client and a whole datacentre full of extraneous hypervisors, storage arrays, &c.
one charitable explanation could be that before you needed to have a powerful desktop at home that consumed a lot of power, and now instead you can use a super cheap laptop to remotely access a powerful server that's probably more power-efficient than what you can/could buy before.

That is both generous and a fair point, at least in the case of anything involving CPU/GPU/TPU intensive data crunching. Although I'm not sure how many people would use a desktop workstation for that anyway.
My own VM use (on our on-premises hypervisor) also has definite environmental benefits in that I don't need to maintain additional hardware for all of my test systems, itself a factor in a business's carbon footprint.
In Google's case, I genuinely would like to see their cross-business figures on this, as they indicate that most day-to-day tasks are carried on E2 (high efficiency) VMs, which realistically aren't going to provide any significant power over the typical low-power laptop or compact office PC that staff might otherwise be using (assuming they aren't working remotely from from their own workstations, which if I were earning Google money, would be insane). Great for privacy and security, but power efficiency?
Their 2022 climate action progress update (linked at sustainability.google/operatin…) says that across all data centres they're averaging 66% carbon-free energy and highlights the company's purchase of wind and solar power, but the same paper says that carbon credits and used to improve its figures and that "Google.org has contributed more than $6 million to strengthen carbon markets, digitize their infrastructure, and set standards for high-quality carbon credits", which makes everything else sitting next to it look like greenwashed nonsense.
Knowing how much current enterprise financial and operational paradigms love prioritising OpEx over CapEx, and the pitch Google (and Amazon! and Microsoft!) has for cloud desktops in this case, vdesktops definitely feel like there's more of an accurate appeal to that side of things than towards raw carbon emissions.
In general, I also wonder how much modern corporate data centre use is presumed to be economies of scale versus its potential for encouraging waste.

Elle-même raconte avoir "commencé à militer pour l’environnement à 13 ans en suivant les traces de Greta Thunberg, et en faisant grève devant la mairie de ma ville. Comme tant d’autres jeunes grévistes, j’étais désespérée de l’absence de changement et j’avais peur pour mon avenir." Mais la militante suédoise raconte que "passer de l’anxiété et du désespoir de mouvements comme les Fridays for Future à l’espoir et au réalisme du mouvement écologiste pro-nucléaire a été une expérience qui a changé ma vie." Cette opposition, elle souhaite la porter jusqu’à la Cour de justice de l’Union européenne, c’est-à-dire là où Greenpeace a saisi la Commission européenne contre sa décision controversée de qualifier le nucléaire et le gaz d’énergies "vertes", bénéficiant d’une taxonomie allégée pour attirer les investissements. L’ONG écologiste dénonce une campagne de greenwashing du nucléaire ; "Dear Greenpeace" souhaite y plaider l’inverse. "Être écolo et pour le nucléaire doit devenir la norme"
Face à cette campagne peu commune, Greenpeace reconnaît que le profil de ces nouveaux opposants est "un peu nouveau". L’ONG insiste sur le fait de ne pas vouloir "remettre en cause la sincérité de ces jeunes dans leur combat pour le climat". Même si, précise Nicolas Nace, chargé de campagne transition énergétique chez Greenpeace France, "ils mènent cette opération avec une organisation ouvertement pro-nucléaire". Ce dernier pointe notamment du doigt l’association RePlanet, qui héberge la campagne "Dear Greenpeace", soutien assumé de l’atome et se définissant comme "écohumanistes".
La branche française de RePlanet est dirigée par Myrto Tripathi, elle-même présidente en parallèle de l’association Les Voix du Nucléaire. Une position pleinement assumée par François Jaffré, représentant français de la campagne "Dear Greenpeace", et lui-même responsable des affaires publiques des Voix du Nucléaire et adhérent à RePlanet France. "Oui, tous les jeunes engagés dans RePlanet ont une vraie conscience climatique, explique le militant de 24 ans. Le parcours d’Ia Anstoot est d’ailleurs assez éloquent. Ce n’est pas juste une défense du lobby nucléaire, qui a de toute façon ses propres institutions pour se défendre. Mais si on reprend les mêmes arguments, c’est parce qu’on pense qu’ils sont les bons."
François Jaffré explique qu’au-delà de demander à Greenpeace de changer d’avis sur le nucléaire - "pas un simple vœu pieux, l’antenne de Greenpeace en Finlande ayant par exemple annoncé qu’ils arrêtaient leur campagne antinucléaire", précise-t-il -, l’objectif est également de montrer que "tous les écologistes ne sont pas antinucléaires, et qu’être écolo et pour le nucléaire doit devenir la norme." Difficile de présager de la réelle importance que prendra cette campagne, aux allures de coup de communication. Mais elle témoigne du net regain de popularité du nucléaire chez les jeunes en France. Et sur ce terrain, impossible de ne pas évoquer l’influence du magnétique Jean-Marc Jancovici. Ingénieur de formation et auteur de la BD Un monde sans fin (Dargaud), l’ouvrage le plus vendu en France en 2022, celui qui mêle défense acharnée du nucléaire et nécessaire décroissance est devenu l’icône de toute une jeunesse en quête d’espoir face au changement climatique. Ce dernier a notamment gagné une très large popularité chez les jeunes ingénieurs, à la recherche de solutions et d’un engagement concret pour concilier leur métier et leurs convictions environnementales.
Du côté de Greenpeace, on reconnaît volontiers que les arguments qui ont longtemps fait légion contre l’énergie nucléaire ne suffisent aujourd’hui plus à convaincre. "Les questions autour de la sûreté ou des déchets nucléaires semblent moins préoccuper les gens. C’est compréhensible, l’urgence climatique est la première source d’angoisse", admet Nicolas Nace. Même dans les partis politiques résolument antinucléaires, comme Europe Ecologie-Les Verts et La France insoumise, l’opposition à l’atome commence à être débattue, notamment par de plus jeunes militants. Marine Tondelier, secrétaire nationale d’EELV, expliquait ainsi avoir été "percutée" par l’émergence "de gens très écolos, et très pro-nucléaire" dans la population. Interrogé par l’AFP en mars dernier, Noé Duprat-Lassus, membre du comité exécutif des Jeunes Ecologistes jusqu’en 2022, témoignait d’un "vrai clivage générationnel" sur la ligne du parti concernant l’atome civil.
Certains, dont Greenpeace, ont donc dû mettre de l’eau dans leur vin, et ont introduit un léger infléchissement de leur position sur l’atome : "Il y a encore quelques années, on était pour une fermeture immédiate du parc nucléaire en France. Aujourd’hui, nous appelons à le fermer progressivement avec, en parallèle, un développement des énergies renouvelables et la rénovation des logements", concède Nicolas Nace. "On n’est pas des cinglés du nucléaire !"

On dit juste qu’il faut une augmentation de tous les moyens de production, et le nucléaire en fait partie. Un mix énergétique avec seulement des énergies renouvelables intermittentes, ce n’est pas possible en France aujourd’hui." Un engagement d’autant plus mis en valeur que la crise énergétique, amplifiée par la guerre en Ukraine et la sortie de la dépendance européenne au gaz russe a mis en valeur l’urgence de se questionner sur le futur énergétique de la France et du continent.
Pourtant, Nicolas Nace l’assure : "Ce sont avant tout les personnes les plus âgées qui restent les plus favorables au nucléaire". Une conclusion partagée par un sondage de l’Ifop publié en septembre 2022, qui estimait que 64 % des 18-25 ans soutenaient la production d’énergie nucléaire en France, soit la classe d’âge la moins favorable de toutes. Car de l’autre côté, ce sont près de 76 % des 50-64 ans et surtout 84 % des 65 ans et plus qui se déclaraient en faveur de l’atome. Mais cela ne vient pas entraver le constat de la progression du soutien à l’énergie nucléaire dans l’opinion publique : selon un autre sondage, cette fois-ci publié par l’institut Odoxa, 60 % des Français auraient une image positive du nucléaire en 2022, contre 34 % en 2019. Avec, parmi cette hausse de 26 points en trois ans, une part de jeunes écologistes, engagés pour le climat.

Ce qui permet les surgelés de Madagascar c'est le pétrole qui permet le commerce international (98% des transports de marchandise sont propulsés au pétrole). Il faut cesser la mondialisation, se débarrasser d'urgence du pétrole et du charbon, et EN MÊME TEMPS conserver une société complexe sous peine de génocider des milliards de gens.

Yeah - screensavers work really well on MacOS and Linux systems running X. But this page and a link early in this page explains why Wayland is not so fortunate.
I'm an old guy so am a fan of various X11 features that are NOT in Wayland. It would be hard to convince me otherwise.

Just for the record: what Google/FB did to #XMPP was not 'embrace, extend, extinguish'. I bring this up because people are focusing on FB developing a divergent protocol/extensions. Maybe that's a valid concern, but it's unrelated to XMPP.
While Google Talk was actively developed, Google folk actively participated in the community. In fact they contributed important extensions such as Jingle, the protocol we still use today for audio/video calls in XMPP, and other bits and pieces.
