... in case that's not intentionally funny....

many a free energy device is accessing free energy like available energy, not over-unity. the source of the energy is defined. conventional calculations remain sane. (it's my understanding this is true of the vast majority of the over 3000 free energy device patents secreted by the year 2000 (as reported by patent office whistleblower Tom Valone). But just because the source is explained, does not mean it's not exotic or impressive like magic to us, compared to what we're used to. Many of these devices, I imagine, would be very underwhelming... like moderate efficiency improvements on radiant energy devices.

however, just to say that so much is well within the bounds of the 2nd law of thermodynamics, that does not mean everything is. ... there are reports... ...and the lines on the map, we drew. convincingly. for sure. but still, just lines we drew on the map. what fools we'd be to hobble ourselves with a self fulfilling prophecy such as that, and not even try. and what arrogant fools we'd be, to presume to know better, because of our priest's dogmas we sing as lullabies to each other in our intellectual-phase-locked scoffing at any who dont know the words?

the ones you see in the news, i dont doubt are incredulously farcical, in depiction or actual, but that would be a peculiar "mere coincidence" that so many inventors of free energy devices disappear or are killed.

i remember the free energy conferences of the 90s and 00s... it was increasingly expected, that the release of the suppressed clean energy technology was to be a soon fulfilled inevitable event.

... perhaps especially prominent was the one in july of 2001... just a couple months before the big weapon of mass distraction got deployed, derailing us from that future, terrorising us back into the PNAC plan (and the plans within which the creation of the PNAC sits, etc etc context context blah blah).

and that we were nearly there, was not the first time. in the 50s... it was a fairly widespread common expectation that the high tech seen was soon to be availed to all. spaceships and all. it's where a lot of the sci-fi of the era came from. art imitating life. ... and it goes back into "steam punk" era... though, i think less steam, more many a tinkerer making their own radios, batteries, tinkering around with magnets and all kinds of things to grow familiarity with materials and forces in ways modern consumers are kept separated as good as worlds apart from.

it's really not so far fetched.

I finally got around to starting to clean up the office tank. I had "stuff" to deal with and neglected it completely, so it's horrendously overgrown.

However, it seems the damage isn't nearly as bad as I thought. There's very little algae, mostly it's just the plants having gone wild, reaching above the surface and putting new roots and shoots everywhere.

Ended up clearing only one end, about a quarter of the tank, as it became obvious I was dragging a lot of nutrients out of the substrate into the water in the process. I'll leave my tools out and continue another day, once everything has settled again.

The tiny soft-leaved plants I wanted on the foreground have all been stripped to bare bones, I'm guessing the healthy snail population in my tank is to blame. I would've loved to have that green mat all the fancy tanks sport, but oh well. I guess I'll just see if I can either get some sturdy slow-growth plants to the foreground, or attempt to trim some of the other plants into low bushy growth.

The good news is that at least I don't have to worry about the plants not growing without added bells and whistles.

Research from a leading academic shows #Android users have #advertising #cookies and other gizmos working to build profiles on them even before they open their first app.

Doug Leith, professor and chair of computer systems at Trinity College Dublin, who carried out the research, claims in his write up that no consent is sought for the various identifiers and there is no way of opting out from having them run.

He found various mechanisms operating on the Android system which were then relaying the data back to #Google via #pre-installed #apps such as Google Play Services and the Google Play store, all without users ever opening a Google app.

Sans être partisan ni de MLP, ni du RN, parti de rechange du système que les capitalistes peuvent propulser en cas de besoin, on ne peut trouver qu’extrêmement inquiétante la condamnation de MLP sur l’affaire des « assistants parlementaires » à une peine financière importante et surtout à une peine d’inégibilité avec exécution provisoire.

Cela signifie qu’elle ne pourrait pas être candidate aux prochaines élections présidentielles. MLP serait donc hors circuit alors que ses idées auraient toujours pignon sur rue, se trouveraient même propulsées drapées dans une victimisation forcenée.

Les partisans du RN redoutaient cette décision.
Certains opposants l’espéraient.
Mais quid de l’essentiel.

MLP doit être battue sur le terrain politique, dans les urnes notamment, et le terrain judiciaire ne saurait s’y substituer, au risque de porter un coup terrible à la démocratie.

C’est ce que les juges ont décidé, après le pouvoir que leur a donné Hollande à l’époque, usant au passage d’un deux poids deux mesures, après notamment le procès qui à l’époque visait François Bayrou et le Modem. Bayrou avait été relaxé.

Une fois encore, qu’on soit partisan ou pas du RN, c’est la démocratie qui est un peu plus atteinte et cela est tout à fait scandaleux.
Cela pourrait être lourd de conséquence…

I'm speaking as a person who lost 10 of my Loved Ones, Friends, and Family, in upstate NY, (Covid Capital of the World) to all of this KNOWINGLY UNNECESSARY Covid Bull Schiff, from the Nursing Home Lockdown's, to the Killer Ventilators, to the UNNECESSARY "Vaccines"...I've got some feelings about it.

The overall CFR varied throughout time; the highest time being obviously April 2020, when testing was more prevalent but not widespread. And when the virus ran through nursing homes and the elderly. By January 2022, when nearly everyone had been infected already, leading to increased natural immunity, and milder variants were more common, the detected case fatality rate was just 0.07 percent.

It was also submitted to the U.S. Department of Justice, requesting that the agency consider “potential fraud indictments against Pfizer and Moderna.”

The Defender reports: According to a press release by Australian law firm PJ O’Brien & Associates, the petition “exposes alarming evidence of synthetic DNA contamination and regulatory failures that could affect millions worldwide,” shedding light on “a public health crisis.”

The Citizen Petition stated that Pfizer and Moderna misclassified their mRNA products as vaccines instead of gene therapy products, enabling the companies to avoid legally required FDA environmental assessments.

Lorsque j'entends le mot « détournement de fonds », j'imagine quelqu'un en train de puiser dans la trésorerie de l'entreprise et de s'emparer de l'argent pour son propre compte. Rien de tel ne s'est produit. Le Parlement européen a distribué des fonds à des membres élus sans, au départ, prêter beaucoup d'attention à leur utilisation. Certains groupes ont utilisé les fonds destinés à payer leur personnel parlementaire pour leurs partis politiques. Le groupe des Verts, dans les années 1990, a retenu une partie des fonds destinés à son personnel et l'a donnée à ses partis membres - je n'ai aucune idée de l'usage qu'en ont fait ces derniers. Le Front national, quant à lui, a utilisé les fonds destinés à rémunérer son personnel parlementaire pour payer ses employés en France. Personnellement, je ne vois pas de grande différence. Mais je ne suis pas juriste et encore moins juge.

Toutefois, à supposer que cette pratique ait été répréhensible, rien n'a été fait pour réprimander, et encore moins pour punir, les Verts - un parti très pro-UE, en quelque sorte le nouveau courant dominant.
Mais le Front national, dont le nom et les politiques ont été modifiés après que Marine #LePen a succédé à son défunt père, est une autre affaire. Son parti, le Rassemblement national #RN, est aujourd'hui le plus grand parti d'opposition à l'Assemblée nationale et les sondages la placent en tête des intentions de vote pour la prochaine élection présidentielle, avec 37 % d'opinions favorables. Ses adversaires politiques ont longtemps trouvé plus efficace de l'ostraciser en la qualifiant de dangereuse « extrême droite » plutôt que de débattre de questions (sur lesquelles elle n'est pas si extrême que cela). Il s'ensuit donc que ce que les Verts ont fait avec l'argent de l'Europarlement devait être bon et que ce que Marine Le Pen a fait devait être mauvais - très très mauvais en fait. Méritant une peine de prison et la fin de sa carrière #politique

no remote root login, but sudo user is available.
trying to run "shred" command on a few HDDs.
obviously this is a very time consuming process.
how can I initiate this process via #SSH and logout of the pty without killing the shred process?

if you're using systemd, make sure the account you're using is allowed to have jobs linger after logout, or it'll kill nohup/screen/tmux when you log out (Debian might default to that, idk)

@aspragg @igrok okay so i landed on some combination of systemd-run and screen. now the only weird thing is that i have "6 screens" but I can't switch back to 4 of them lol. THANKFULLY i have shred running on shell 0 of window 1 and i can keep going back to check on as needed, i have tested logging off the server and back in. but i dont know where these other 4 screens are and how in god's name to switch to them and kill them.
