Of the four of them, 1 I have had a decent conversation with (because I used to work with one of their people). 2 have politely told me they have nothing to say (comms initiated by me). 1 I have had no contact with whatsoever.

That being said, until recently, you were with Grüne, and that may be part of the disadvantage, inasmuch as they may see you as having a political career in mind. It's rare in these spheres that people don't have an ulterior motive, and however much you may claim otherwise, they won't believe you don't.
Of those options you've laid out, the easiest to get into is consultancy. This can happen either directly with the train companies directly, or as a think tank that is consulted by governments. Neither of them seem to be easy to get into. Your best bet is to find a corporate or NGO sponsor who can get you into the right networking opportunities. Maybe when you talk to people like Starline, that's the sort of quid pro quo you should be asking for. Your value to them is as much in who you know as in what you know.
