Il se penche sur une version slavonne méconnue de "la Guerre des Juifs" de Flavius Josèphe dans laquelle la référence à Jésus n'est pas, cette fois, grossièrement interpolée. Il y démontre que cette version slavonne descend probablement de la première rédaction araméenne de l’œuvre, les autres versions descendant de la réécriture en grec destinée à Vespasien, et donc modifiée pour raisons politiques.
