Every morning, I have to remind myself that I don't need to prove myself to anyone. Not a single soul. I don't need to justify, defend, overexplain, or convince anyone about any aspect of my life or choices. I'm doing my best. I'm healing, hurting, growing, grieving, loving, learning, and, most of all, I am trying. Anyone who wants to judge where I'm at, compete, or criticize has no place in any part of my life. I've spent a lifetime trying to get people to accept me or feel proud of me, but now all that matters is that I'm happy with myself. I don't have to seek validation from anyone.
