Where Edomites are concerned, they're not viewed as badly as the other Canaanite hybrids but are still something you don't want in your house.

Why the distinction? Where's the line?
The distinction is simple. The acceptable tribes are found in the list of tribes descended from Noah, in the table of nations of Genesis 10, continuing Adam's line.
The unacceptable tribes are not. They are listed as either having directly descended from or having mixed with the tribes descended from Cain.

The Deuteronomy verse you've shared has what is called a gloss, a scribal error. Scripture *does have these.* We have names throughout Samuel, Kings, and Chronicles of the same person or tribe that "randomly" (glosses at certain verses) appear with d's replacing r's and vice versa, which is exactly as has happened here. 'AA-R-M-I' became 'AA-D-M-I'. We can tell from how Arameans and Edomites are described in all other passages. This verse is in contrast to the rest.
If you want a more modern, slightly different example, consider that the NT English will quote "the prophet Esias", when we know Isaiah is the prophet quoted, yet we still print in English a direct transliteration of the Greek spelling of Isaiah. People are hesitant to correct the obvious "out of reverence."

The passage about Solomon having Edomite women--a passage that explicitly says God commanded this to not be done--is again in agreement.
Edomites are not worse than the other unnaccepted tribes. That is not the claim. The claim is that they are one of the unaccepted tribes.
When I or someone else says 'Edomite' it's because today's Jews were Judeans (members of Judea, but not Israelites) that were largely Edomites, brought under the law as "Israelites" and even into the priesthood, contrary to the covenant. This is explained has having happened and condemned multiple times throughout scripture--even acknowledged, in agreement with scripture, by secular writers of the times. It is only churches that for some reason have drifted to disagreeing with scripture and history--sometimes because of innocent gloss, and sometimes due to direct Masoretic changes.

She also pointed out that the font had been cloned and released illegally for free under the name "XBAND Rough".
