Yes, China do the same, the US does the same, the UK does the same etc. etc. etc. I do not see that that makes it OK. The UK just bombed Lebanon without asking the UK people if it is OK to murder loads of innocent people in their name. It is always wrong but instead of joining one side or the other we need to start standing up and saying "NO - I do not support your war" rather than take sides and continue with the murder.

Please explain the difference. Zelenskyy had the option to not destroy his country but he gained his power from war instead. Putin, well he is exactly as bad. Zelenskyy did nothing to stop the genocide and simply took the cheques and got rich so he gave Putin no option. Putin has a Trump style ego so he was not going to back down and Zelenskyy knew that. So Zelenskyy sold out to the US whose only gaol was to bankrupt Russia. Russia was not going to allow that so they had to act. The greatest surprise was that Putin gave Ukraine 8 years to before they acted. To most of the world Putin started to look like the good guy. Most people know about the Berlin pact etc. and were in no way surprised by the result but in the west we were shocked but only if you did not read a newspaper between 2014 and 2022 because it was there every week.

The coup overthrew someone who I agree was corrupt but so is Zelenskyy and many people supported him so it was a civil war that started. The guy that was overthrown had been elected whereas the coup took power by killing and threatening with death. Russia took a side in a civil war in a neighbouring country. Russia could have done more to help but we all know that they are shit at peacekeeping (look at Nagorno Karabach). If Zelenskyy had provided a democratic option and controlled his dogs he could have stopped it but his financial backers wanted the war so it happened. Zelenskyy will not stay in Ukraine after this war regardless of the outcome as many Ukrainians would kill him on sight. Most Ukrainians I know do not support Zelenskyy, some have more support for Putin and some want closer ties with the EU. I think this has gone on long enough but I am going to Poland next week and will speak to people I know who left earlier and I will see if their views have changed. I do respect your view but I cannot help but feel you simply do not realise that it is all propaganda. We need real change that stops politicians of all colours from making money from war. Blaming the other guy is simply not good enough.
