LA is a megacity > 10M inhabitants with pollution you can see from space (in the daytime, obvs the massive light pollution visible at night).
It practically invented the words "urban sprawl".
But sure, Martial Law is a thing you can do there🙄
Good luck.

There's no shortage of right-wing folks in Blue states. California is not all good vibes and whatnot - plenty of places in San Diego, Orange County, Riverside, (and all over NorCal) etc where I'm sure there are plenty of gun nuts with personal Arsenal's just itching to get Rittenhousing.

There are large numbers of heavily armed people *everywhere* in America (it's just that red states are more likely to have open carry so you *see them* more). And conservatives in blue states are the *worst* — resentful, protected from their bad decisions by blue state policies but extra aggrieved because they don't have the majority cultural power to inflict their bigotry on everyone.

I am sure, however, as you point out, that it's not EXCLUSIVELY right wingers who are armed.
