Il y a 7 jours, 74 députés européens ont signé une motion de censure contre #VonderLeyen au #Parlement européen
Puis 5 députés ont enlevé leur signature. La liste est donc tombée à 69, ce qui ne permettait pas de déposer la motion, le nombre requis étant de 72.
Heureusement, 8 nouveaux députés ont signé. La motion a aujourd’hui 77 signatures.
On remarque dans la liste le grand nombre de Polonais et le très petit nombre de Français: aucun député de gauche, aucun député LR, 2 RN (Virginie #Joron, Thierry #Mariani), 1 Reconquête (Sarah Knaffo).
La soupe est trop bonne à l’ #UE. Si la Motion de censure était votée, toute la structure s’effondrerait. Et les députés bien rétribués à ne rien faire perdraient salaire et privilèges.
Il y aura donc un débat mais seul un miracle pourrait permettre de chasser l’affreuse et ses laquais.

When I was a kid, there was a chain of service stations^1^ in the western US that used a dinosaur as its logo. This pretty clearly implied that petroleum has something to do with dinosaurs.

Petroleum was formed from stuff at the bottoms of lakes and seas laid down long before dinosaurs dominated.

It's just as easy to teach people (kids in particular) the truth, so why not do so? "Gasoline, kids, comes from algae and plankton, not dinosaurs."

You'll notice that I wrote "service" stations, not "gas" stations. The difference is significant. We still have gas stations, but we haven't had service stations in nearly 50 years.

In the film Back to the Future you'll see a service station. BTW, service stations were history when that film was made, and that film is already 40 years old.

When you pulled into a service station, at least one person would run out to your car, and start cleaning the windows while, at the same time, offering to check your oil level, offering to check your tire pressure, and asking how much gasoline you'd like to buy. The most common reply was "Fill 'r up." Never was a customer expected, or even allowed, to operate a gasoline pump.

In addition, individual service stations hired mechanics to do auto repair and preventative maintenance (e.g., changing the oil). Auto manufacturers didn't yet monopolize maintenance and repair.

The floods have claimed at least 24 lives.

Forecasters warned more rain was coming to the region, nicknamed "flash flood alley," which may only worsen a "mass casualty event" that swept away entire buildings, and sent cars swirling through the gray and brown waters.

A somber assemblage of Texas National Guard commanders, state troopers, and emergency management joined Gov. Greg Abbott and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick on Friday night in a livestreamed update. Abbott stressed that Texas would send all its resources to aid the rescuers. They provided no update on the missing girls.

The first #StopCopCity RICO defendant's felony trial is set to begin Monday, January 7. Ayla King, a young working class activist arrested at the Welaunee Music Festival, bravely filed for a speedy trial and refused any plea deal. Their case will mean mountains for the other 60 defendants.

How much more will it take for people to realize that the political stage (internationally, nationally, at the state level and to some extent even locally) is just that: a stage. --It’s all a scam, a show, a farce…whatever word you’d like to use. It is so sad to me to watch so many good people get sucked into this giant spectacle, wasting their passion on people who lie and quite frankly do not care about them.
