I've wondered about that. I've thought about throwing up a poll asking whether folks read an author's voice into GPT and other bots and if it is male, female, or neutral.
With text to speech I always wind up picking a low pitched, thus "male", voice just because it sounds less wrong and artificial to me. Somehow not necessarily robotic, more like someone with a calm flat delivery.

This report investigates the corporate machinery sustaining #Israel’s settler-colonial project of displacement and replacement of the Palestinians in the occupied territory. While political leaders and governments shirk their obligations, far too many corporate entities have profited from #Israel’s economy of illegal #occupation, #apartheid and now, #genocide. The complicity exposed by this report is just the tip of the iceberg; ending it will not happen without holding the private sector accountable, including its executives. International law recognizes varying degrees of responsibility – each requiring scrutiny and accountability, particularly in this case, where a people’s self-determination and very existence are at stake. @Carter Braxton does the word matter, or the thing itself ? People come to a place far from home to stay there. They're immigrants, by the definition of the word. Then there's the relationship they're building up (or not) with other people already here. Usually with several different mode of interaction simultaneously : some people assimilate with the autochtones, some live alongside them, some fight them, etc. Similarly autochtones may simultaneously accept some immigrants, reject some, fight some, etc.

@Emmanuel Florac The world is not synonymous with the earth. The earth is the physical construct, the tangible, while the world involves the politics the infrastructures, the regulations and the bureaucracies.
One finds it amusing if not sometimes more annoying how Europeans, the original invaders of not only the New World, but Africa, Asia and the Middle East, pretend as if the United States upon its founding, started mistreating the natives.
Europeans love pretending as if they, including the pompous French, had no hand in the mistreating of their colonies of niggers in Africa, the native Americans in their American or Caribbean colonies and the Arabs in the Middle East where the also had colonies. It is as if they have selective memories.
Europeans seem to pretend to forget, that while many of them stayed at home, away from their colonies, they propped up and supported the regimes from their homes. It is time that they are reminded that pretending to have newly washed hands will not absolve them for their past or present selves either.

ICE arrests four people after they appear in immigration court
ICE agents arrested four people Thursday morning outside of immigration courtrooms in downtown San Francisco. Mission Local witnessed one of the arrests in the hallway outside of the courtrooms at 630 Sansome St., an ICE field office that contains some of San Francisco’s immigration courtrooms and a short-term detention facility. The man left the courtroom following his hearing. Mission Local saw him handcuffed in the hallway outside the courtroom, surrounded by ICE agents and the building’s security staff.
