@+bonifartius 𒂼𒄄 Why? Because developers are lazy and don't want to have to compile and link for each platform just to save you convenience and memory. So flatpaks and snaps get around this by bundling libraries, then what version the system has on it natively becomes irrelevant, but this approach wastes your disk space, creates additional dependencies that can break your system, and defeats the purpose of linux shared libraries wasting memory.
I am mildly amused by this. So Taito made Touhou Spell Bubble, good game, problem being that it is only Touhou content. It probably didn't sell as well as an all rounder rhythm game. So now they're just outright copying and pasting the format they used for Spell Bubble and making it a new IP. And I do mean copy and paste.
