Streaming services are predictably among the big winners of the pandemic - but streaming is different, and Twitch's statistics are particularly noteworthy. So, in one year, viewing hours have doubled. And in doing so, the absolute numbers hit six and a whopping billion hours in the first quarter of 2021.

Our conservative party (conveniently named The Conservative Party of Canada) said if they were Trudeau (Liberal Party of Canada) they would have ordered lots from one source rather than a diverse acquisition. We have 3 in distribution, including AZ.
I think the side effects are over emphasised β¦ but since you have a low rate of infection it makes sense to get other types.

Oh... and the "Conservative" party got hijacked by the Alliance which then changed their name back to Conservative. They've become so bloody right wing it's not funny. Our own, home-grown Tea Party.

How good is the footy!") underestimated the number of people ignoring him and who actually want to be vaccinated.
We are also making our own AZ but that will take a while, perhaps due, in part, to the continuous cuts to R&D (and science in general) which we've witnessed with successive governments.
@Clarice Boomshakalaka Bouvier - But isn't winter around the corner? I guess it hasn't gotten but so cool yet. Yeah, I know about the difficulties in distribution of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. Perhaps Australia should start making the vaccines there?
the keenness for the vax isnt so much about protecting ourselves (we've shown we're good at that) but about resuming international trade and tourism, on which we're particularly reliant, (esp education)

@DavΓ―Γ LΓ₯zΓ₯r¡§ re protection: mmnnyeah kinda. although we had a high mortality rate, we didnt have a particularly high infection rate. bc people ignored ScoMo and listened to Medical Science and used common sense (and basic hygeine). Plus we weren't adverse to a few months off work/working from home. But dont particularly want to do it again. and again.aaand again ;)
@Cass M oh heck yeah :D we're a travelling population, the world-over, and we're getting sooo bored. Our gov gave free money to encourage people get out but not too about - a limited but encouraging number of $200 vouchers, available online, which blew out in about an hour XD so that was...something..it could probably take a family of four ohh 25kms /and/ get fish n chips!
@Clarice Boomshakalaka Bouvier - I suppose we should be happy with what we've gotten from the government so far. There have only been three checks since the lockdown started, but they were all more than $200.
@DavΓ―Γ LΓ₯zΓ₯r¡§ i theenk people on Disability and Seniors pensions, here, were the only ones who didnt see a luverly boost in incomes but they received three (maybe?) payments of a culpa hundred bc their pensions are already about twice unemployment payments (neither terribly adequate for needs). it was known as STFU and Stay Home money :))
i reckon that if we could do that for a year or so and not all end scratching in the dust, we could probably keep doing that - at least for a while, bc we havent spent all of the money #JoshieFromAccounts borrowed but we have yet to see much of.
Today marked 2 weeks since my second jab of Moderna vaccine. I celebrated by meeting up with another vaccinated friend, going on a bike ride and walk without having to maintain minimum 6-foot distance, riding in the same car without having to keep the windows rolled down, going out to eat in a restaurant, hanging out in my house, and hugging goodbye. It was like the Before Times!

The "rollout' has been very dodgy here, with ScoMo announcing how great it's going while doctors have been asking "umm..where is it?"
