Hi everyone,
As part of a UX/UI design project for my studies, I’m currently analyzing the user experience and interface of BookWyrm. The goal is to identify areas for improvement while respecting the platform’s core values (decentralization, simplicity, accessibility, etc.).
I’m looking to gather feedback from actual or potential users of the platform. If you have a few minutes, your answers to the questions below would be extremely helpful:
- What do you like most about BookWyrm? Which features do you use most frequently?
- Are there any features or interactions that you find frustrating or unintuitive?
- What features do you think are missing or could be improved?
- How do you feel about the interface (design, readability, navigation)?
- Do you use BookWyrm (or similar platforms) mainly to manage your personal library (individual use), or to get recommendations, join discussions, and engage with others (social use)?
- Do you mainly use BookWyrm on a mobile device or on a computer? And why?
- Do you also use other platforms (e.g., Goodreads, StoryGraph, LibraryThing)? If yes, what makes you prefer one over the other?
- If you’ve never used BookWyrm, what’s holding you back? And conversely, what might encourage you to use it regularly?
Thank you so much for your input. I’d be happy to share the results of this analysis here if there’s interest.

The Russian revolution?
-No the Jewish revolution.
But but Lenin was not a Jew
-His children spoke fluent Hebrew. He married a Jewish woman. He wrote all his statements in Hebrew. He might as well have been a Jew.
-Out of 388 members only 16 were real Russians and all the rest Jews with the exception of a nigro from America. 265 of them came from the lower east side of new York.

The SGP has again rejected a motion to allow women to hold leadership roles - bringing up again the “it’s against the Bible” argument.
Yes, it’s 2025 in the progressive Netherlands, and we still have a political party with 3 seats in the Parliament that still refuses to accept that women can also be in charge.
I’ve always wondered what happens in the brain of a woman in the Dutch Bible belt that keeps supporting the SGP. It must be one the worst conceivable cases of Stockholm syndrome.

@Bernard the problem is much more nuanced than “SF strong independent women whoring around and pursuing careers”.
As usual, things aren’t black and white. Here in Europe we have many women in career that have kids and spend time with their families. Many of those kids go to my kid’s school, and their mothers still pick them up and cook meals for them - without giving up on their careers and turning full housewives.
Is it easy? Definitely not. Especially when your career is 100s/1000s km away from your family and your best hopes to get some time for yourself or with your partner is to drop $100 for a spoiled nanny. Me and my wife are in this expats-in-career parents situation too and we know it all too well.
But is the problem with women that want their own financial freedom, have career goals or want to contribute to the family?
Or is it with the fact that, especially in the US, it’s hard to get good work-life balance, that given the nature of its job market (much more competitive and much less regulated) it’s harder than elsewhere to pursue a career (or hold on your job) if you have family constraints and no support, that you don’t get enough paid leaves nor paternity/maternity leaves, that flying in your relatives and getting a visa for them if you’re from somewhere else is harder than in other places, that daycare is expensive, that healthcare is expensive, that welfare safety nets are nearly non-existant, that the gentrification problem caused by decades of single-family houses on one side and expensive high-rise buildings in major cities has left many post-boomer folks without a house to raise a family, and that the American ultra-capitalist lifestyle advertised this version of people (both men and women) who aggressively pursued their careers over everything else?
It’s easy to blame the issue of low fertility rates on the women who want a salary and forget all the deeper systemic issues, and forget that governments voted by people are also supported to fix these issues…
@Bernard I really can’t see a single rational explanation for the immigrant replacement theory.
I mean, all the data points point in the same direction: lower birth rates are natural as a society becomes more industrialized, urbanized and educated. But it’s not inevitable to get below the 2.1 threshold:
America is failing on all these points (and so are some European countries too, albeit for slightly different reasons).
And it’s because of deliberate political and economical choices.
Condition (1) doesn’t apply because Americans want a small government, because they feel like “it’s not their job to subsidize somebody else’s kids” (to use the words of a GOP Congress member), and because they feel that anything with the words “welfare” or “worker’s rights” in it automatically means a Soviet-style dystopia.
Condition (2) doesn’t apply because associations of home owners and real estate investors have disproportionate influence in America, much more than regulators, and if it’s in somebody’s interest that the value of their existing investments doesn’t go down then rest assured that it won’t matter to them if Joe can’t get out of his studio shared with two more IT professionals in downtown SF and buy a house to start a family with his girlfriend.
And condition (3) doesn’t apply because Americans wanted a hyper-capitalist society where employers have disproportionate power over employees, where the number of paid leaves is on average 40% of what we have in Europe, where it’s very easy for employers to prefer employees that can work until 9PM over those that have to go and pick up their kids from school and put a meal in front of them, and where paid parental leaves or education subsudies that are very common in Northern Europe are seen as leftover of Stalinism.
Then why complain when you get the kind of society that you wanted all along?
I mean, it’s easy to see who benefits from this system.
Those who don’t want welfare schemes usually don’t want to pay more taxes.
Those who don’t want more affordable housing usually don’t want more supply to dilute the value of their assets.
And those who don’t want more family-friendly regulation in workplaces are those who benefit from squeezing employees while not feeling like they’ve also got an obligation towards their families.
In other words, the system is broken because American capitalism is broken, and that’s because American capitalists benefit from it, and they don’t care if there won’t be enough citizens (American or not, it doesn’t matter to them) to keep their country running in 50 years - most of them won’t even be around in 50 years.
They genuinely don’t give a single fuck about replacing Americans with foreigners. They don’t have a single financial interest in loading trucks with migrants to cross the Mexican border. They only care of making profit out of the stuff that they already have, all while not having to move a finger, period.
But of course it’s in their interest that you believe that low birth rates happen because of whory SF independent women or because of liberals trying to replace Americans with foreigners. If you can blame the tragedy on someone else, while they keep sipping their fine wine, without anyone walking them to the guillotine for destroying the fabric of society…

'There is no legal requirement in the United States for members of Congress, the Senate, the judicial branch, or the President to disclose dual citizenship status. The U.S. Constitution and federal laws outline specific eligibility criteria for these positions, but none mandate reporting additional citizenships beyond confirming U.S. citizenship.'

Israel = Genocide Country
"To the question "Do you support the claim that the IDF, when conquering an enemy city, should act in a manner similar to the way the Israelites acted when they conquered Jericho under the leadership of Joshua, that is, kill all its inhabitants?" 47% of all respondents responded in the affirmative. 65% of those surveyed responded that there is a contemporary incarnation of Amalek, and of these, 93% responded that the commandment to wipe out the memory of Amalek is also relevant to that modern-day Amalek.
It seems that Ginsburg and other Haredi rabbis can be especially proud of the change that has occurred in the Jewish population: 82% of those surveyed expressed support for the forced expulsion of residents of the Gaza Strip, and 56% supported the forced expulsion of Arab citizens of Israel. In the 2003 survey, the positive answers to these questions were “only” 45% and 31%, respectively"

EMPIRE'S LAST DAYS
It is impossible for any doomed population to grasp how fragile the decayed financial, social and political system is on the eve of implosion. All the harbingers of collapse are visible: crumbling infrastructure; chronic underemployment and unemployment; the indiscriminate use of lethal force by police; political paralysis and stagnation; an economy built on the scaffolding of debt; nihilistic mass shootings in schools, universities, workplaces, malls, concert venues and movie theaters; opioid overdoses that kill some 64,000 people a year; an epidemic of suicides; unsustainable military expansion; gambling as a desperate tool of economic development and government revenue; the capture of power by a tiny, corrupt clique; censorship; the physical diminishing of public institutions ranging from schools and libraries to courts and medical facilities; the incessant bombardment by electronic hallucinations to divert us from the depressing sight that has become America and keep us trapped in illusions. We suffer the usual pathologies of impending death. I would be happy to be wrong. But I have seen this before. I know the warning signs. All I can say is get ready. --Chris Hedges

Of those, 1,864 are on mastodon.social.
If mastodon.social blocks my instance, I lose 30% of my followers and I’m forced to stop following 1,864 people.

1/ Débrouillez-vous pour pondre des lois qui criminalisent la critique d’Israël;
2/ Servez uniquement les intérêts d’Israël. On s'en fiche de la France. C'est juste une colonie en Europe pour aider à la réalisation du projet sioniste du "Grand Israël";
