Awesome video, KDE was what got me to love Linux a lot. I loved that it was so customizable, and very similar to the Windows layout (which i like a lot). KDE will always have a special place in my heart, thanks Nick once again!

But now i have so many problems with it ....
Espacially with #akonadi ... It destroyed to much while using kontact ... ;(

in reply to The Linux Experiment • • •I start with Linux in 1998, and KDE was far the best desktop back then – way better than the Windows UI. Well… GNOME was actually better though… but it was launched (as you mentioned) 2 year later.
About the pager, I used FVMW2 for a while and I’m almost sure it had something similar…
And the menu editor (which I’ve never used 😬) reminds me a lot of the Window Maker Preferences tool.
KDE2 was even better than KDE (1).
