i got a decent amount of welding done tonight. had to switch to flux core welder outside cause the fumes from welding galvanized with TIG were too nasty and the work wouldn't fit under the fume hood. unfortunately the little flux core welder said it was done for the night and flipped the thermal overload switch. that takes a while to self-reset apparently
i do grind the galvanized coating off the outside but it's impossible to remove it from the inside of the pipe i'm working on. yes i am aware that welding galvanized steel is bad news and can make you sick

On Thursday June 12, 50 prisoners at Delaney Hall, the privately owned ICE detention center in Newark, New Jersey, banded together and pushed down the wall of a dormitory room. Four men managed to escape.
Attorney Mustafa Cetin reported: โBased on what he told me it was an outer wall, not very strong, and they were able to push it down.โ
Organizations representing some of the detainees reported that Thursday afternoonโs unrest was started by detainees frustrated over inadequate food, missed meal times and other concerns, including boiling water in the pipes and a lack of family visitation.
The four men that escaped are Franklin Norberto Bautista-Reyes and Joel Enrique Sandoval-Lopez, both of Honduras, and Joan Sebastian Casteneda-Lozada and Andres Pineda-Mogollon, both from Colombia.

He said his client told him a group of about 50 detainees protested conditions, like lack of food, and some attacked guards. Some of them pushed down a exterior wall, and escaped to the ground by tying bedsheets together into a rope, he said.
People from the community rushed to the site to show support. On previous evenings, many had gathered outside Delaney Hall for a nightly vigil and were speaking to visiting family members.

Sweet so I got the laptop fully finished. MIgrated the NVMe from the old laptop to an external enclosure. Sadly the data is inaccessible because Windows 11 likes to default force bitlocker encryption on user's and they never store their recovery key so I eesentially have an ecrypted / locked drive and likely a pissed off user.
If so, you could put the NVME drive back in and turn off Bitlocker.
I just dealt with a Bitlocker encrypted drive today on a broken Dell XPS laptop. I was able to connect to an external display and then turn off Bitlocker.
If you can help them login to their Microsoft account and look for Bitlocker device list, the recovery key is usually there.
I was able to walk the guy today through it over the phone and he sent me a screenshot of his laptop's Bitlocker recovery key. I plugged it in and unlocked it.

Why is Europe suffering economically? They have sacrificed their economies to woke causes like climate change and to their tribal expansionism within the continent. They are doing BAD business.
Trump teased the solution when he offered to redevelop Gaza. He's not going to do it, but he'll set up conditions so others, likely sovereign investors primarily, can come in and do the job in a manner acceptable to those in Gaza and the world.
Trump is going to offer Iran's leaders a way out. A way towards prosperity. And if they don't take it, their people will.

Trump is lining up his solutions in the proper order for success. I expect the obviously death spiral monetary system to be dealt with after those issues involving violent death are handled.
Since Justice grinds slowly, I think the monetary stuff will be tied to emerging revelations regarding moral and economic corruption. The greedy, the sexual degernates, the psychopaths and sociopaths, will be revealed in evidence, guilt will be proven, punishment meted out, and Trump will point to this as evidence of the need for radical reform.
Gold standard? Debt restructuring? Something else? I don't know. but if Trump gets the world's economy moving well for most of the plant's peoples, mere tens of trillions become rather mnagble. If people are hopeful, becoming prosperous, and see the way forward clearly for themselves, they will accept short term costs and inconveniences.
Trump has demonstrated audacity his whole life. As with General George Washington, his audacity was not always and only rewarded with success. He's had and learned from failures. Trump is pretty much the world's leading expert on audacity!

I spent YEARS trying to imagine the safety net that Trump MUST have built into his plans. I now think that his audacity gave him the courage to perform without a net, while he balanced himself and the nation on a very high wire. WE are the net. The Constitution is the net. And God is the net.
And, it turns out, that audacity is entirely constitutional.
You may not know it yet, but we are all running full speed toward solutions that we have never imagined and that would be derided as impossible if they were discussed in the past.
