⚡️🇮🇷🇮🇱 Summary of the IRGC Statement on the 8th Wave of “Sadeq Promise 3”

The IRGC announced a more powerful wave of missile strikes on Israeli targets, claiming improved tactics disrupted Israeli military command systems and caused defense units to misfire on each other.

They credit the operation to strategies inspired by commanders Bagheri, Salami, and Hajizadeh, and assert that despite Western support for Israel, the missiles struck with high precision.

The IRGC vowed to continue the strikes until the collapse of the Israeli regime.

So if I'm reading this right, there were armed peacekeeping volunteers organized with the event (not necessarily by the protest organizers but they were part of the protest). One of them saw a guy grab an AR-15 from an alley and confronted him. The rifle-weilder raised his rifle, the peacekeeper fired several shots, killing a random person and wounding the rifleman. The rifleman is being charged with the murder because Utah law probably counts anybody dying as the result of a crime to be murder for the person committing (a few states do that). They're currently investigating the peacekeeper.

I'm curious to know more about this peacekeeper business. Were they openly armed? Were they all armed? How big was this group? How were they organized? Presumably the rifleman was trying to start shooting or at least threatening to shoot. If the police weren't sure of that much, they wouldn't have charged him with murder. If the peacekeeper isn't even being arrested, my guess is the police feel very confident about how this went down.

Bike light recommendations

Hi

Can someone recommend some decent bike lights? I have a front one that attaches with the rubber band type thing that's pretty good except it turns on in my bag every time so it's always dead when I go to use it.

Needs be removable from the bike easily.

I would prefer USB C over micro USB. Or maybe rechargeable AA battery which I already own.

Also the rear light is gonna be attached to milk crate on the back rack.

It's for a city just to be seen so I don't need 7150 lumens.

Thanks!

in reply to toothpicks

I mainly use this rear light. It comes with a bracket so you can mount it to the back of your rear rack. Then you just clip it in. I hate the rubber band lights.

I'm also quite happy with this front light. The mount stays on your bars and the light really easily clips in and out.

Borth are usb-c. Don't bother with the planet bike front lights. Maybe their nicer ones are better but the mount is ass for the cheaper ones.

How I got down from the plane in Tirana airport, where they use stairs to get down to the tarmac.

I had to wait until everyone else had deplaned & were whisked away by a bus, then this large specialty lift truck arrived on the other side of the plane from the stairs, elevated up and put over a rickety platform. For someone with acrophobia, it was terrifying. Thankfully, the driver kindly assisted me. #Ableism #Accessibility #Travel #Albania @disability

View of the rest of the airport lift vehicle, showing two aisle wheelchairs in it. (I can't remember the official name for these.)

Plane aisles are not accessible to regular wheelchairs because the airlines are busy with designs packing people in like sardines. So these are narrower wheelchairs dependent on having an abled air employee push you down the aisle. #Ableism #Accessibility #Travel #Albania

Just a word about Al Jazeera. They are amazing at covering Gaza and West Bank.
Not so good at covering Syria, Hezbollah, Iran. I hear that it's to do with their backer Qatar. Qatar is US compromised. They have their own reasons, no doubt and I hope they're hedging their bets. They recently got closer to Iran. They know that with a direct US/Iran war, they're in the crosshairs. They have the largest US base like 50 miles from Doha. Good luck to them..

In this sense, the fantasy of immunity granted by the army runs even deeper in the Zionist left than on the right. The right’s answer to its security anxiety is annihilation and ethnic cleansing — that’s its endgame.«

Stop using ideological and academic language to address political issues intended for broad public consideration.

Make simple language statements to clearly articulate your points so "everyone" (the vast majority) can understand, not just those with specific education and knowledge.

If you can't do that, then you're insufficiently knowledgeable about your topics, to paraphrase, and shouldn't be pushing your points as being intended for the general public, but just for an elite class, "comrade"

I really don't see a way out of the clutches of neolibralism. Our health service is privatised, war crimes are committed daily, then our mass media either ignore it or lie to us about it.

So much of our lives have succumbed to the cancer of neolibralism. It will only get worse.

Privatisation happens in front of our eyes but is (conveniently) poorly covered in corporate news. Our government is the pits and gets away with it daily.

Without education and clear information, this country can never free itself from the tyrannies of profiteers.

How do you destroy a digital threat? One that exists on many servers, a Hydra with infinite heads.

Our information is controlled, our democracy is inadequate, and our corporate politicians continue the vandalism of our public assets.

Maybe the only way forward is a national strike, or a national boycott, the only thing that can force our leaders to change their actions.

But how can you get this idea across to the duped masses when our information channels are so tightly controlled? And would it work anyway?

Hydraulic System Failures: Managing Leaks, Heat, and Pressure Issues

These problems are all too common, particularly in aging cranes or those under heavy use without regular upkeep. Fortunately, most issues provide early clues. Learning to recognize and address them can save you from costly repairs and downtime.

Hydraulic systems power cranes, enabling them to handle demanding tasks with ease. When they’re functioning well, they’re practically invisible. But when leaks, overheating, or pressure loss occur, your crane can grind to a halt, stalling your work.

These problems are all too common, particularly in aging cranes or those under heavy use without regular upkeep. Fortunately, most issues provide early clues. Learning to recognize and address them can save you from costly repairs and downtime.

Leaks: Small Drips, Big Problems

Hydraulic leaks are one of the most frequent issues in crane operations. Some are obvious, leaving puddles under the machine. Others are sneaky, seeping slowly and causing unseen damage. Damaged hoses, worn seals, or loose connections are typical culprits, worn down by relentless pressure.

Leaks do more than waste fluid—they hurt performance. You might notice delayed responses or reduced lifting power. Many operators top off the fluid and carry on, but that’s a short-term solution. Unchecked leaks lower system pressure, let air into the lines, and can trigger overheating.

To fix a leak, stop the crane and trace its source. Clean the area, restart the system, and inspect closely. A slight oil spray near a fitting can indicate a serious problem. For Kobelco cranes, keep spare hoses and seals ready to avoid delays. A reliable crane parts supplier can deliver Kobelco crane parts quickly, keeping disruptions to a minimum.

Overheating: A Growing Risk

Hydraulic fluid needs to stay within a specific temperature range to work effectively. When it overheats, it loses viscosity, reducing lubrication and causing parts to wear out faster. This can lead to complete system breakdown.

Look for signs like a burnt odor, dark oil, or uneven crane movements. Overheating can result from low fluid levels, clogged filters, blocked airflow, or a failing cooling system. Pushing the crane too hard, especially in warm conditions, can worsen the problem. Older or heavily used cranes are especially susceptible.

Troubleshoot by checking fluid levels and condition. Replace old oil and clean filters. Clear debris from the cooling system. Using low-quality parts on a Kobelco crane can contribute to overheating, as they tend to run hotter and fail sooner. Stick with Kobelco crane parts from a trusted crane parts supplier to ensure system efficiency.

Loss of Pressure: When Strength Slips

Nothing’s more frustrating than a crane that can’t perform. Loss of hydraulic pressure can make even simple tasks a struggle. Internal issues—like a worn pump, stuck valve, or leaking cylinder—can sap pressure, even without external leaks.

Pressure loss can seem abrupt, with slow or jerky movements disrupting operations. Air in the system, often from leaks, is a frequent cause. Start by checking fluid levels and looking for bubbles. If the problem persists, a pressure test may be necessary. For Kobelco cranes, verify that recent part replacements meet standards, as subpar parts can throw off pressure flow. A dependable crane parts supplier can provide Kobelco crane parts that get your crane back to full strength.

Keeping Issues at Bay

You don’t need a full-time mechanic to keep your hydraulic system in check—just a proactive approach. Regularly inspect fluid levels, scan for leaks, and heed odd noises or smells. Catching a small issue, like a loose fitting, is quick and cheap. Ignoring it can lead to costly repairs, like replacing a failed pump.

High-quality parts are essential. For Kobelco cranes, using cheap components invites trouble. A reputable crane parts supplier ensures you get reliable Kobelco crane parts, saving you from headaches and downtime.

Closing Thought

Hydraulic systems are tough but not indestructible. Leaks, overheating, and pressure loss are warning signs that need immediate attention. Left unchecked, they turn minor problems into major costs.

Stay vigilant with regular checks, quick action, and trusted Kobelco crane parts from a reliable crane parts supplier. This keeps your cranes—and your projects—moving forward smoothly.
