President #Trump has twice thrown his own intelligence chief Tulsi Gabbard under the bus, repeatedly telling the press that the national intelligence director was wrong when she told Congress in March that the American spy network does not believe Iran is attempting to obtain a nuclear weapon.
To be clear, when Gabbard made this statement she was not voicing her personal opinion, she was repeating verbatim the findings laid out in the 2025 Threat Assessment of the intelligence agencies of the United States, which said “We continue to assess Iran is not building a nuclear weapon and that Khamenei has not reauthorized the nuclear weapons program he suspended in 2003, though pressure has probably built on him to do so.”
Despite this, Trump has been publicly expressing disdain for his intelligence director, flatly saying “she’s wrong” when asked about Gabbard’s testimony on Friday, and saying “I don’t care what she says” when asked the same question about Gabbard’s statement earlier this week.
Rather than push back on the president’s crude dismissal, Gabbard took to social media to tell everyone that Trump is actually right about Iran, and that everyone who thought she said Iran isn’t seeking a nuclear weapon is imagining things.
“The dishonest media is intentionally taking my testimony out of context and spreading fake news as a way to manufacture division,” Gabbard said on Twitter. “America has intelligence that Iran is at the point that it can produce a nuclear weapon within weeks to months, if they decide to finalize the assembly. President Trump has been clear that can’t happen, and I agree. My full testimony below:”
Bizarrely, Gabbard accompanied this text with a video clip of her congressional testimony in March which in no way validates anything she says in her post. Nowhere in the clip does she utter anything about Iran being weeks to months from a nuclear weapon, and she explicitly says the words “the IC [Intelligence Community] continues to assess Iran is not building a nuclear weapon and the Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei has not authorized a nuclear weapons program that he suspended in 2003.”

Iranian missiles struck the heart of Israel’s secretive military-cyber complex at Gav-Yam Negev Advanced Technologies Park in Be’er Sheva this week — a meticulously coordinated and legally defensible response to an unprecedented campaign of Israeli aggression that has left hundreds of Iranians dead over the past week.1 The operation marked a turning point in Iran’s strategic doctrine: no longer will it absorb cyber sabotage, drone strikes, and targeted assassinations without direct and proportionate reprisal.
The compound in question — long portrayed in the Israeli media as a beacon of tech innovation — is in reality a high-security enclave that hosts Israel’s C4i Branch, elite cyber warfare divisions, and the National Cyber Directorate, which operates under the Prime Minister’s Office.2 This is not a university-linked tech park; it is a keystone in Israel’s offensive capabilities against Iran and neighboring states.
A Military Base in Disguise
The Gav-Yam Negev complex, located dangerously close to Soroka Medical Center and the Be’er Sheva North-University railway station, has long been the subject of international concern due to its dual-use nature.3 Over 7,000 uniformed and civilian personnel work within its secure facilities, many engaged in surveillance, cyber intrusion, and strategic command functions. Western media outlets and tech investors have often overlooked the park’s true function — due in part to partnerships with corporate heavyweights like Microsoft and Mastercard, which operate on-site under the umbrella of “R&D” or “fintech innovation.”4
Israel’s choice to embed a hardened military asset within a densely populated civilian environment is not accidental. By blurring the lines between civilian and combatant, Tel Aviv has created de facto human shields for its covert war infrastructure — a clear violation of the laws of armed conflict as outlined in Protocol I of the Geneva Conventions.5
A Retaliation Grounded in Law

In the immediate aftermath, Israeli authorities invoked the military censor, banning domestic media from publishing photos or details of the strike damage — a common tactic to maintain the illusion of invulnerability.9 However, leaked footage from first responders and employees at nearby institutions confirm fires, structural collapse in several buildings, and temporary closure of both Soroka Hospital and the adjacent train terminal due to shockwave effects.10
The public’s right to know has been subordinated to Tel Aviv’s desperate effort to mask the vulnerability of its most critical command nodes.
The War Behind the Firewall
This incident lays bare a broader truth: Israel’s war on Iran has, for years, been fought through cyberwarfare, assassinations, economic sabotage, and proxy actions, rather than conventional warfare.11 In that light, Iran’s targeting of the infrastructure used to wage these shadow wars was not just justified — it was overdue.

Finished the book in under 2 days, I couldn't put it down.
Kate Wilson is an incredible woman, she spent over 10 years fighting this case against the police. And she won! In the end the police hardly even defended themselves despite doing everything they could to stop her getting justice. They knew their tactics were indefensible.
This wasn't just about bringing the police to justice, this was standing up to state oppression.
The book itself is very easy to read, it reads like a first rate thriller. I hope the trial outcome and the book itself gives Kate some sort of closure. She'll never get back those years or recover from the damage done to her, nor will the many other women in similar relationships, nor the hundreds of well meaning activists spied on. #spycops #katewilson #sumaccentre #ACAB #ukpolitics
There's a lot of interesting detail in the book. One that stands out is that SOCA - Serious Organised Crime Authority reported that the NPOIU (the spycops unit) "lacked any form of operational impact or outcome assessment....." This is an issue close to me but there were revelations that still surprised me. Notably the constant communication between the spycop and his handler, who was never far away. There's no way they really believed the UCO was in any danger. There were calls several times a day with the minutiae of people's daily lives being recorded.
