Like, I get that the goth golden age was from the 70s - 90s and that smoking was normal, but aren't cigarette companies EXTREMLY exploitative, both for users and employees?
I get it if you're already addicted, but it seems romanticized.
Disclaimer: I'm already addicted, very tough habit to quit. And it's very hard to kick the habit when a pack of smokes costs almost half as much as a candy bar where I'm at.
Same with beer, it costs less for a beer than a good bottle of purified water around here. And I ain't about to go back to drinking the tap water, at least beer doesn't give me dysentery..

The whole purpose of NATO was to act as a US protection racket for Europe. Now that the US is pivoting to Asia, Europe will be left to fend for itself.
There is no conceivable way that Europe could ever replace the US industrial power on its own in the foreseeable future.

The reality is that the EU is in deep economic trouble now, and the demand for increased NATO spending is necessarily creating a lot of tension.

You are ignoring the minor details of India's repeated military exchanges with Pakistan and China. The level of trust required for these members of BRICS to actually form any kind of real alliance is decades away, if its ever possible. BRICS isn't so much an economic block as a collection of countries looking for some kind of leverage in global affairs. But it's really only China that controls a majority of resources, manufacturing and renewables and no one trusts China. That's reality.

The biggest problem with d&d axes is that people try to pick an alignment and then have their character's actions come from it (and the resulting frequently induced cross-table talk with the eye-rolling phrase "a lawful/neutral/chaotic good/neutral/evil character wouldn't do that! You're X/Y, so you wouldn't do that!").
No real person has every action fall within one of the outlying boxes' bounds. Actually 'moving' yourself from the neutral spot is (supposed to be) beyond most mortals.
In quite a few cases across the different editions, this behavior is enforced by class requirements. Though even then it's still dumb to argue about that unless you're at the point that the GM has to seriously consider changing your alignment because your actions are so far beyond your character's on-paper alignment.

one of the problems with having to buy everything on amazon from china now is that for example, when you need 2 replacement motor brushes for an angle grinder, you have to order 20 of them, because there's no profit in warehousing and delivering just 2 of them for you like there would be in an old time hardware store that stocks parts to repair power tools
the big box hardware stores have lots of crap like christmas decorations and lawn furniture and other dumb crap you don't need, while having few repair parts for tools, and a poor selection of bolts and fasteners, and lacking in other stuff that a real hardware store should have
