It’s been my experience that what is communicated from the Western capitalist empire (US etc) is often either the direct opposite of the truth (not just lies), or a projection onto other nations of what has been done by the empire. So if i see something from the Western media it has some information value. However, i still avoid consuming the propaganda because it might effect me subconsciously
Of course, by reading and following all news one will not put one's head into the sand. One will be perfectly informed about our supreme leader's ideas of what one need to think, and where to solidify the right opinions. 1) If Medvedev's stance actually reflects that of the Russian government, then it would signify that the effort required by those who seek to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power is much higher—and riskier—than they had been expecting; but also
2) it validates the accusation that Iran is actually seeking to become a nuclear power, and that major global powers are not just OK with that, but are strongly in favor.
Therefore, Medvedev's statement significantly raises the risks of either continuing to passively "watch and wait" as Iran continues developing its nuclear technology and capabilities, or alternatively of taking positive, military action to interdict Iran: Other nuclear powers might take Iran's side, not just economically and politically, but perhaps even militarily.
It's becoming a game of chicken.
