Israel and the USA faced seemingly intractable problems.

Israel shared a border with a population utterly radicalised population that lived in high density urban areas that were completely intertwined with military infrastructure. There was no way to strike at Hamas without hitting their (often children) human shields and ostensibly civil targets (which hid military assets).

4/?

Israel was trapped as a pariah state, weighed down by accusations of inhumanity vis a vis Gaza and its militant population. The USA became a tottering husk, its middle class collapsing and its working class gutted by deindustrialisation. Even if these two nations survived in some form, their increasingly zombie-like state of existence gave the globalists, the collectivists, the kleptocrats, all of the room they needed to work their dark craft upon us all.

in reply to Andre

6/?

But there is now a big problem. Gaza and the illegals in the USA were the primary fortifications of their agenda. Since both seemed impossible to solve, and since both kept the nations in a state of weakness and vulnerability, evil plots like covid and climate change were able to flourish. People today face an uncertain and dangerous future, but one that has a key feature: HOPE.

Not the cynical Orwellian 'hope' we saw from Obama, but genuine light at the end of a very long and dark tunnel.

in reply to Andre

8/?

In less than a year, that has all changed. Gaza and Hamas are more or less in the cleanup phase ahead of a redevelopment project of a scale not seen since the Marshall Plan. The USA border is sealed and early interventions and self-deportations are already creating positive effects in the job market and economy.

Iran's threat of a nuclear program, coupled with its history of exporting terror, constituted another nettle to be grasped. And it has been firmly grasped.

in reply to Andre

10/?

I do not have a sense of Israeli politics at all, and I cannot offer a useful opinion on Netanyahu's future. But what has happened in Gaza is irreversible. Israel as a nation is committed to finishing that job, and their status under the Abraham Accords will, I believe, require them to be a fair partner as the outcome I expect to see, which is Arab investment and participation in Gaza's rebuilding. Bibi may be ousted, but his grasping of the nettle can never be undone.

in reply to Andre

11/?

In the USA, it is little less clear. If a MAGA legacy is not the result of Trump's presidency, the border can be reopened, the economy and society crushed, and the USA returned to a hopeless state. I note that if this happens, Israel will be ever more isolated and vulnerable such that I think the only rational policy is for Israel support MAGA in pretty much every respect. This notion will not be palatable to the pundits who insist that Israel is a monolithic evil.

in reply to Andre

12/?

Trump has a whole field of nettles to grasp. Ukraine. China/fentanyl. Collectivist kleptocratic Democrats and RINOs at every level of government. And so on. With his demonstration of border security, roundups of illegals, and his strike on Iran's nuclear program, he has demonstrated the big stick that Teddy Roosevelt suggested (Trump seems to ignore the speak softly part).

in reply to Andre

13/?

What Trump does do is speak loudly and clearly about his priorities which are easily summarised: Peace and prosperity.

Do you recall the Platinum Plan? Blue cities are going to be offered an opportunity to develop their way out of the Democrat-induced ghetto trash state of existence. Black leaders will be identified, developed, and supported. These cities will again become manufacturing centres with job that a family can live on.

in reply to Andre

14/?

I suspect that Trump will offer Iran a similar way forward. Abandon terror and be welcomed into deals that will make Iran great again. I made a guess (not a prediction) that one outcome could be a joint announcement of an Iran/USA partnership to redevelop Iran's oil reserves.

And in all of that, there are models for Europe. Abandon the collectivist way, stop destroying ancient cultures, embrace peace and prosperity, and perhaps western Europe's slow suicide can be reversed.

in reply to Andre

15/?

And you can take Trump's Peace and Prosperity model everywhere. China's poor want decent jobs and living conditions and the opportunity to enter the middle class. Sub-Saharan Africa needs to be freed from the globalist kleptocrats such that it can finally find its own way into the Industrial Age. The Korean Peninsula could be reunited.

Gaza and 50m+ illegals seemed impossible until leaders & governments finally came to power with a willingness to do what billions of people would condemn.

in reply to Andre

16/?

Now all of our other big problems are on the agenda.

And as hope, like a desperately needed infusion of a lifesaving medicine, is now moving through populations worldwide. This hope must be connected to commitment and determination. It must inspire local involvement in all levels and forms of government. We must never lose hope again and allow apathy and self-interest to rule.

in reply to Andre

17/17 (that worked out to a nice number!)

Peace is the prize. Prosperity is the plan. And The People are the way it all can and must happen.

You are literaly as important as any other individual. Trump needs YOU. The USA needs YOU. The world needs YOU.

Pick something and get to work. A school board. A local government office. Volunteering on a political campaign. Anything. As long as it is not nothing!

What nonsense. It's protest not terrorism

Masar Badil Statement: U.S. Military Bases Out of Our Homelands!

Statement Issued by the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement (Masar Badil)
U.S. Military Bases Out of Our Arab Homeland Immediately! No to U.S. Military Occupation in Our Region!

In light of the ongoing U.S. aggression against our peoples—most recently, the treacherous bombing of the Islamic Republic of Iran—the Masar Badil, the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement reaffirms its firm position: all American and Western military bases must be expelled from our Arab region. Their presence constitutes a form of direct colonialism and remains a constant source of aggression, plunder, and terrorism.

U.S. bases in the Arab Gulf, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, and across the Arab world have been transformed into launching pads for bombings and direct support to the Zionist enemy. They function as command centers for the aggression against the resistance in Palestine, Lebanon, and Yemen, as well as hubs for espionage and domination serving only the interests of Washington and Tel Aviv, at the expense of the sovereignty and dignity of our peoples.

The occupying U.S. forces in our Arab land benefit from extensive privileges, including the use of airspace, ports, airports, and military camps, along with fuel services, maintenance, and weapons storage across most countries in the region. This grants them unrestricted mobility by land, air, and sea.

The presence of U.S. military bases in our region constitutes a direct occupation of the land, through which the Arab people are stripped of their will and sovereignty. These bases serve only the Zionist entity and the regimes of subservience and normalization. Accordingly, they are legitimate targets for all armed revolutionary forces in the region.

We call upon the masses of our Arab people everywhere, upon the forces of liberation and revolutionary change in the Arab homeland, and upon international liberation movements, to launch a broad popular campaign against the American military presence in West Asia. The expulsion of U.S. military bases must be seen as an urgent national and revolutionary objective, no less vital than the struggle against the Zionist project in occupied Palestine.

We did it. Garage stuff that’s for the junk guys moved to one side of the garage, two windows cleaned, items we are keeping corralled and in storage containers (a lot of hot tub supplies). Garage swept. We missed hazardous waste pick up this year. But we’ll be ready next year. Car full of things to donate.

New General Contractor meet is on for tomorrow. He says he pulls permits. It’s crazy how many will not offer to do so.

There is a lot of lying on both sides of the table. Iran claims their nuclear program is only peaceful, but only 3.5-5% enrichment is required for a boiling or pressurized water reactor. But, Iran has enriched Uranium-235 to 60%, far far in excess of what is needed for light water reactors but still short of the 90% required for weapons grade uranium.

in reply to Nanook

It's unsettling to hear about this level of uranium enrichment. It highlights how difficult it is to verify claims and intentions in international relations. It's like trying to understand a really complicated level in a video game where the rules keep changing. Speaking of challenging things, I've been trying to improve my focus and concentration lately. You know what surprisingly helps? Believe it or not, playing Geometry Dash. It requires intense focus and quick reflexes!

Kamala Harris was the Democrat candidate for president that most Americans voted for but the billionaire fascists and Russia overruled.

I agree "Billionaire fascists" love Trump, but they would perfectly love Harris if she´d rule the US, I seen no reason why not.
Is Russia is the reason for Trump´s election, not sure about this, I wouldn´t blame external forces, no need for that, but ok, if that helps?

She knew a convicted felon would use war as a distraction and profit

True. Still I wonder would a Dem-Administration be fundamentally different when it comes to bombing black and brown people? Seen from the outside, I really do not see any difference. Please explain what Harris did for peace while she was vice-president, cant recall anything?

I still think this war wasn't his idea but Netanyahu's. Trump desperately wanted a Nobel Peace prize - because Obama had one. So he got out of the treaty with Iran (signed by Obama) during his first reign and now wanted them to enter a new one. But Netanyahu didn't like that after he found out and we have seen how he expressed his dislike.

This one Trump didn't want, he was "merely" way too weak to resist a much more dominant Netanyahu. Trump is like an easy instrument for dictators to play on...

Update on my elderly aunt.

She started home hospice care this past week in addition to the 24-hour live-in care and so far it has gone well.

Her dementia continues to escalate and she "sundown's" quite a bit even with the meds that are supposed to help with it.

I purchased some Vitamin D drops to put in her morning breakfast drink to help with the sundown effect. Genetically, my family suffers from Vitamin D deficiency and I am hoping this helps a little bit.

Thanks for your prayers

Kudos to you, friend!

Well, my MIL was always quite a handful, and her 2 daughters both refused to tend to her in their own homes, because doing so would definitely have irreparably harmed their marriages/families.

We volunteered because she was easier on her son, and an institution could be used as a last resort.

I am glad that you're keeping things in perspective. This is the RIGHT thing to do!

in reply to CarolEmmarie

Much appreciated.

Even in her degenerative state, my aunt gets a joke in.

This week, her caregiver called to say that auntie had scared her to death. She called out to her "PK, I am taking my last breath!"

PK ran to her room, saw my aunt with her eyes closed and head tilted to one side. She checked to see if she was breathing and if her heart was beating.

Then my aunt slowly turned her head, opened her eyes, and smiled.

I told PK, welcome to the family.

Once they achieved the ultimate DEI position, every other work employment was up for grabs.
There's an insidious amount of DEI people that have been hired that hopefully will just fade out through sheer incompetence.
We can only hope.
I am tired of people giving boomers a bad name (not all deserve it), but at least we knew how to do basic maintenance, life skills.

this was this past week, trump said he'll make a decision on Iran "in 14 days", "2 weeks".

I'd seriously consider not listening to or reading news from a lot of sources, because all they want to do is rile up everyone.

why would LEO want to go door to door where there can be firearms and whatever behind the doors they bust in.

But america in general doesn't have a problem with migrant farmworkers. No one wants to pick stuff in the summer.
