I'm taking the day off. I discovered my bank closed all of my firm accounts yesterday, including my credit cards, in error, which meant I was dead in the water. I was fucking pissed. I called their east coast office at 5am and got it all fixed by 7ish, but that kind of anger wore me out. That's about a pissed as a fire ant I've been in a few years. Someone was very close to getting a severe beating.

These lesser courts are subservient tot the Supreme Court. They are supposed to be doing the minor work so the Supreme Court can focus on the big ticket items.

The whole idea of Stari decisis is to let the Lower Courts understand what the ruling is from the Supreme Court and they can't undermine it.

My local library uses CloudLibrary, which doesn’t actually support ebook readers. It forces you to install an app and read from your phone. I literally have a card in a neighboring town, just to have Libby access on my Kobo e-reader.

Every time I go in to my local library, I make a point of mentioning that CloudLibrary doesn’t work on e-readers, in the hopes that they’ll consider switching to Libby instead.

Whats a better name for 'graphics cards' that describes the kind of computational work it does

I now do some work with computers that involves making graphics cards do computational work on a headless server. The computational work it does has nothing to do with graphics.

The name is more for consumers based off the most common use for graphics cards and why they were first made in the 90s but now they're used for all sorts of computational workloads. So what are some more fitting names for the part?

I now think of them as 'computation engines' analagous to a old car engine. Its where the computational horsepower is really generated. But how would ram make sense in this analogy?

The entire point of Revelation, and Daniel, and Isaiah and Jeramiah etc where it talks about anything having to do with "end times" is that we still all got it wrong, so Jesus finally returns to save us for good. Jesus's first coming was about redeeming His chosen, not about fixing all of our problems.

Donald Trump will be remembered as a uniquely unqualified and terrible President.

What was all this for? You destroyed whatever shred of credibility the U.S. retained with other nations. You demonstrated that Israel, in particular Benjamin Netanyahu, dictates U.S. foreign policy. Iran's nuclear program was not destroyed, and they will likely decide to ramp it up and build nuclear weapons.
